We were at the Orange store about 4pm this afternoon and the staff were stripping the racks of all the unsold naked bread and putting it onto large garbage bags for a waiting couple with their trolleys. My partner asked was the bread discounted at this time of day as these people were given masses of what appeared to be free bread, perhaps for chickens or livestock feed??. My question/s is why do they not pick it up the next day so it is at least day old rather than the same product we are paying through the throat for. My 2nd question would be, could this mass of unsold, excessive quantities of fresh bread be given to one of the community welfare outlets in Orange that supply heavily discounted grocery products to those less fortunate rather than it all going one couple irregardless of what they do with it.
