Went for dinner on a Saturday night - we had a booking so we were seated quite fast. My daughter had eaten before at this restaurant so she gave us a couple of tips on what food we could try - really enjoyed the cauliflower dish (hint of chilli and tasted crunchy and flavoursome). We did order a big bowl of noodles and beef and another pork dish - food came out real fast and serves were abundant. In honor of its name - chilli was all we could taste after a little while ( ended up taking away most of it since our taste buds were annihilated after the chilli tsunami in those dishes). Asked for a spoon (had to go up to the team member to ask for one - no hope to get anyone's attention - place was semi full and one needs to have some attention for the customers on the floor - as I used to do when working in hospitality) the guy said he was going to get me one and on the way he proceeded to start talking to another customer, forgetting my original request promptly. Coupled with the need of water (once again I had to stand up and approach the main desk pointing at the empty bottle) and the bill which had no trace of english written words on it (penalizing non mandarin speakers- unusual choice to say the least) - you won't see me coming back in a hurry - unless I do feel like burning the few taste buds left alive after the " experience " at Chilli Panda. Atmosphere reminded me of China (been there a few times) - good place for nostalgic people and chilli...

Went to Chilli Panda on Saturday night with friends from over East, after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by extremely poor service (non existent). We arrived and were sat at the table, a tablet was put in-front of us, and the waiter then disappeared, not one word was said to us the whole time, no explanation as to how to order using the tablet, no explanation as to the dishes, and what the hotness represented (how hot is one chilli etc). As it was BYO we had brought out own wine, some red and some white, a waiter came over with three glasses, put them on the table and left, again not a word. We had to request the wine be put in the fridge, and again every time we wanted a top up, they brought the wine, and put it on the table, didn’t pour and replace in fridge, just left it. At the end of the meal we wanted to take the remaining food home, we signalled a waiter and asked to takeaway what was remaining, he turned around and left, while looking at my partner wondering what was going on, he then came back with three containers put them on the table and went to leave again, I stopped him and asked if we had to put the food in the containers ourselves, he replied, not allowed, so I presumed that meant yes. If you want to have a nice dinning out experience Do Not Go Here, order takeaway. Food was ok, some were a little hot, don’t think they have the right heat chilli...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Hunan cuisine restaurant, and I must say, it was a culinary adventure like no other. As a lover of spicy food, I was in heaven, but I can also see how it might not be for everyone. The menu is extensive, to say the least. With a vast array of options to choose from, there's something for every palate and heat tolerance level. The dishes are all beautifully presented, with a focus on bold flavours and vibrant colors. Speaking of heat levels, it's worth noting that if you're not a fan of spicy food, you should definitely take note of the menu warnings. Many dishes are explicitly labeled as "spicy" or "very spicy", and some might even be off-limits for those who can't handle the heat. In terms of value, I would say that the prices are on the higher side. While the portions are generous and the quality is high, some dishes might not be worth the cost for those on a budget. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Hunan cuisine or is looking to try something new. Just be sure to come prepared for a culinary adventure that will leave your taste buds tingling (and possibly sweating!).

First time and would be the last time there Food: tastes very spicy and authentic, but only deserves 2 stars as they are cheating! We ordered a $70 fish spicy dry hot pot,but the fish we got given was with its flesh peeled off! Evidence as in the picture, was really shocked to pay this price for just half a fish Service: no more than 1 star. 1) Toilet does not have a baby change table, we had to change nappies over the vanity counter; 2) there was no hand wash liquid in the toilet; 3) there was no straw available that we had to buy our own straws from IGA across the road, just $2 and 5 minutes to get a box of straws, I guess they couldnt bother to; 4) hot food was served from the side of children, i had to pull my daughter away from her seat to avoid the risk of being burnt Atmosphere was okay, not crowded thus 3 stars

We wanted to try this place for ages, well what a displeasant night we had when we finally passed the door! We waited a few minutes before being able to grab the attention of one of the waitress while the place was almost empty. Once seated, we ordered 4 different dishes to try on a tablet and same thing, waited for someone to finalise the order and finally had to go to the counter, been ignored by one waitress to finally been able to place the order. The waitress made us pay right away. Back at the table we received the dishes quite quickly. - the peanut noodles were impossible to eat without choking - the scrambled egg with tomato weirdly sweet - the sour chicken was ok - the stir fried cauliflower which took longer to arrive, was way too salty In conclusion it had potential but was very disappointing.
