We booked a table and were a little late because there was hardly any parking available. We walked in and it was very busy, the waiter was frantically looking around to seat us, I said we'd booked and he said my table had been given away - I hadn't recieved a call which is what usually happens if a table is given away and we weren't more than 15 mins late. 3 of us were seated at a table fit for 2 people. We sat there for over 10 minutes with no menus, we had been forgotten, no one was coming back to serve us. I went up and got some myself. We were then moved to 2 other tables to suit our party size (we had to ask for this and then we're moved again at their request). The third table hadn't been wiped down so we had to ask for the grime to be cleaned - they did this quickly flinging food scraps off the table at our feet. We ordered & waited nearly an hour for any of our food while the people seated behind us and and next to us were served their meals despite arriving well after us. I asked the waitress how far away our meals were and only then did they come out. I believe we were forgotten again. They had gotten our order wrong bringing out 2 of the mains instead of 3 & said they had only noted down 2 mains not 3. We didn't bother asking them to correct it because God knows how long that would've taken. Luckily we ordered enough to share and the meals were a big size..the food was ok. The atmosphere is loud & cramped, the customer service left A LOT to be desired and the meals weren't amazing. Large portions and cheaply priced. It's a shame as we were out celebrating and thanking someone very special to us and we were so disappointed in our experience. We won't be back &...
Read moreVisited for the first time with friends for dinner on 5th January. Initial impression was very good, the place looked amazing from the entrance (wheelchair friendly - ramp on the right side) and modern décor.
Inside the furniture looked newish and comfortable, also matching décor with the rest of the restaurant. The icicle chandeliers looks classy with the bar in the background.
Food was good, I liked the Grilled pork with pandan leaves and Rare beef noodle soup. My favourite was the Shaking Beef (dish looked liked what was on the menu) and tasted amazing. The Grilled fish however was over cooked (tough) and did not look like what was on the menu, see photo. Seemed more like a stir-fry rather than grilled. Overall though, the veges looked nice and fresh.
Menu looked and felt new - kudos to the Designer of the menus, I thought they looked great. However when you look at the drinks menu, it looked shabby and needs a refresh, you wouldn't think it's from the same restaurant (photo attached).
Used the restroom and saw an overflowing bin. Suggest that staff check the rest rooms as often as they can because it does not create a good impression for patrons and it can be a slip hazard for your customers. Staff service was hit and miss, one one my fiends took a little longer to order and the waitstaff yawned in front of us - this is very rude.
One other feedback is an area for pram parking, my friend had a pram and when we asked for a space, one of the wait staff shrugged their shoulders and walked away so we were left to park our pram in a...
Read moreUnfortunately this restaurant has a big problem. I walked in last night and told the waitress who greeted me that I wanted to wait for my friends who would be there soon as we had a booking. The waitress sent me to a building 300 metres away. I couldn't find any Chopsticks restaurant 300 metres down the street so I returned. A second waitress told me to return to that building 300 metres down the street - she told me it was a red building. When I returned after once again failing to find a restaurant 300 metres down the road a third waitress angrily and rudely barked at me that she couldn't show me where the restaurant was and that that restaurant "has nothing to do with us". I was humiliated and almost in tears at this point so I left the Chopsticks restaurant, rang my friends and we all went to the Ben Tre restaurant in Morley instead which I highly recommend. When I spoke to the manager of the Chopsticks restaurant on the phone this morning he told me he had watched the whole scenario unfold the night before and that it was my fault because you have to carefully explain to the staff that you want to eat in Chopsticks restaurant and not some other place even though you have just walked into Chopsticks restaurant and said you have a booking there. Then he said he hoped I would be be dining at his restaurant in the future. There are 300 restaurants in Perth - why would I go back to such a...
