We, a party of 6 adults and 2 kids, had lunch and wine tasting over the weekend. Wine tasting was excellent but the dining experience was not. The main meal was pretty good. However, the creme brûlée I ordered for dessert was extremely disappointing. It wasn’t set at all and was completely runny. When I pointed this out to the server, her response was “that is how we make it here. It is ok to eat”. For $16 a pop for the dessert, I expected more. Then I ordered a long black but was served a latte. Earlier in the meal my hubby ordered a dark red (I cannot remember which) and was served a Shiraz which was not the one he ordered. When he pointed this out to the same server, her response was “I asked the Chef and he said Shiraz goes better with the Risotto you ordered”. They decided to replace the order without even asking asking or even making the suggestion first. The server did apologise and offered to replace the wine when she saw we were taken aback by her response. I’ll be honest these things completely ruined our dining experience. We spent about $50-$60 pp so we...

A very pleasant experience doing a wine tasting complemented by a grazing board. We visited on a warm, sunny day, and it was lovely sitting outside. The place is very quiet, and while not the prettiest location in the Hunter, it feels like a million miles away from everything, which was exactly what we needed.

They seem to have a solid selection of local wines. We ordered 2 wine flights of 4 wines each - red and white, with tasting notes. It was a fun experience, although the wines we tried weren’t that extraordinary.

The mezze gazing board looked good and had some delicious nibbles to go with the wine. Their website claims the boards are sufficient as lunch for most people - I wouldn’t recommend skipping lunch if a grazing board is all you’re relying on.

The lady who served us was very friendly and happy to accommodate. Overall, a very chilled experience, suitable for those times when you just need to...

This place is terrific. I’ve been visiting since 2015 and a club member since 2019 so maybe a bit biased. Of course I’d probably not stay a member for so long if it wasn’t so great. On this visit, Tonia looked after us and was the perfect host. Knowledgeable about the wines and wineries, helpful, and friendly. We partook in the Iconic tasting which allows us to sample a number of top tier wines of our choosing. I love the self serving enomatic system! All the cellar doors are great in the Hunter but I just love that a visit here allows me to try wines from a number of different wineries. With so many different varieties, it’s great and you feel like you’ve done the whole Hunter. Great central location and the tasting room has a great atmosphere and is in a beautiful spot with bushland surrounding. Add it to your Hunter itinerary, you...

My partner and I visited the Wine House and were not disappointed. From the time we walked in, we were made welcomed by Adam and Phoebe who showed us around and set us up for some wine tasting and a bite to eat. They were so down to earth knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We walked away with a few of our favourite wines 🍷 and an enjoyable experience. While we were there, work was being done outside in the gardens to plant a variety of Indigenous bush tucker plants.. what a fantastic idea! We will definitely be coming back and letting our friends know about this place! Thank you to Adam and Phoebe for making our visit a memorable one ❤️ see you next time :)
