Absolutely lovely!! This place made our night! This review has been long in the making due to travels and work-life, but here it is. We had a terrible night coming into town, we drove 13hrs from Melbourne, it was pouring down with rain, our AirBnb was not up to standard so we had to find last minute accommodation, it was running late into the night and nothing seemed to be going right and we weren't even sure if we would be able to get a decent feed. Our hotel recommended this place and luckily it was right across the road and still open in-time for a late night dinner and a well needed drink. Well what can I say! The boys were absolutely lovely, so friendly and welcoming and so accommodating for our poor weary souls. The service was lovely, they were happy to have a chat and a laugh and after the day we had that was just what we needed. The drinks, amazing! The food, amazing! such nice little twists on the Japanese favourites, little bit of butter and lemon over the edamame was refreshing and delightful, the tofu was grilled wonderfully with a yummy sauce over the top, my partner enjoyed the chicken and cocktails aswell! The boys were very friendly and recommended us to some local attractions and sight seeing destinations to visit during our stay here as we didnt have much in the way of plans and they were very knowledgeable about the area! And they were even interested in our stories when we came back on our final night in Port Macquarie! Stick, an excellent spot for cocktail lovers. A great selection of tequilas and gins for example are on offer and the friendly bar staff are happy to have a chat on experimenting on your favourite poison.

The place is on the small size and has some indoor seating, but most of this is outdoors. It’s kind of hidden away to the side of the front building at Clarence Street, which lends a kind of intimate feeling to the setting. The decor is kind of “alternative” and is a bit like garlic. You like it or don’t. No Mr In-Between. But hey, even if it is not your thing (like me) it’s still something different and variety is the spice of life.

It’s mainly the food that let me down. Google maps shows the service as a restaurant and it definitely is not. On offer are servings of carne on skewers, a roasted eggplant drowned in mayo, hummus with ordinary toast and so on.

This is more accomodating for creating a good greasy coating in once stomach before indulging in heavy alcohol than a divine palate experience.
