Four Espresso — Restaurant in Port Macquarie

As visitors to port Macquarie twice yearly , we usually visit the cafe across the road , but thought we would try a new one for our morning coffee and breakfast .

The gentleman that took our order was just wonderful and super friendly , but it was the young boy who was cleaning tables and who delivered the coffee to our table who was a stand out .

Not only was he a good conversationalist , but he was super organised and a great help to us when deciding what we wanted to order

He will most definately go far In life , and we will be back again .

I am sorry I only had small change to tip him He was A1 and as a business owner myself , I would not hesitate to hire him in the future

The food was fantastic .

Too many times we don’t credit people for their great service , you only hear if the bad stories do I am shouting him out and I hope to see him on our next trip in May .

Food here is good, with generous portions and good taste.

However, once you spend a moment looking around, you realize how filthy this place is. There is a massive caking of grease and dust under the pastry case. The screens to the windows are full of dusty grease. The split aircon is brown with grease. The floor under the silverware cart is caked in dirt, and the booth area at the back is covered in dirty marks and hand prints.

My dining partner said: "They are lucky that we aren't health inspectors" and they were right.

This place needs to shut down and do a deep clean, then establish a regular cleaning schedule to prevent the build-up of dirt and grease.

It's disgusting - it made us worry about becoming ill, which is not the experience most cafes want...

Poor communication between the the lady taking orders and the barista. We waited over 25min for one take away cappuccino. When we asked the barista if we will ever get our coffee he said he tried to call out our name then someone els who ordered a coffee came and in took both the coffees off the counter even though he knew the wrong person took the coffee he still did not fix the problem. We were sitting right at the door a meter away from the barista. We didn’t hear him call out. Place was full of people standing around waiting for take away coffees and it wasn’t even busy. POOR SERVICE and no idea how to run a cafe. It’s a shame you don’t treat your locals better as we are the ones keeping you afloat through the year. Glad to say I will not be...
