Our order consists of a piece of blue grenadier, a piece of butterfish and chips. The batter is nothing special, without using bicarb to make the batter lighter. While the blue grenadier does taste like blue grenadier, I have doubt about the butterfish.
SA government has issued warning that some operators have been using cheaper quality fish such as hake and hoki instead of butterfish. In fact, the price of the butterfish is $6.00 / piece while the blue grenadier is $6.50 / piece.
The butterfish is nothing like what I have eaten before. Its texture is firm and not much difference from hake or whiting. Butterfish is so-named for its deliciously moist texture and 'butteriness'. It is due to its high fat content that gives it a smooth texture.

At $13 the Lamb tray contained real roast lamb which was beautifully seasoned, garlic tatziki, fresh salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, olive and feta) and beautiful fluffy pita breads on the side.
