Main Street Cafe — Restaurant in Portland

Don't go anywhere else... Airconditioned cafe, lovely staff, free papers daily and owner operator on duty all day. Simple but fantastic menu for breakfast or lunch order as u want It. Freshly made sandwiches, wraps or rolls and coffee at just the right temperature.

Bainmarie with mini and large quiches,home made sausige rolls and pies, casseroles or stews.... Scalloped potatoes also available. This is a cafe with a chef/owner in control highly reccomended If not happy .......

Went in for lunch, and left disappointed. The cheeseburger was incredibly bland, and the meat tasted frozen. The chips (small size) were suprisingly bad. Prior to this, I didn't think it was possible for fish and chip style chips to taste bland and bad, but boy did they prove me wrong. The staff were nice, but the wait for the quality of the food was not worth it. The milkshake is also not great, with no where near enough flavour. I wouldn't go back, but the staff...

Extremely rude, told us that we could not eat there because we came in with a McDonald's coffee frappe, they packed our order so we could leave but happily took our money for our order!!! Will never go there again! If this was bought to our attention before we ordered, we would have left and gone somewhere else!! No way to treat people who have travelled a long way and were...
