I completed a 13 day solo walk of the GSWW in March 2018 and had a thoroughly good time. I saw no other hikers the whole trip, great if you enjoy getting away from it all! Campsites have everything you could need - tables, shelter, water and toilets. There is an abundance of wildlife; echidna, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, koalas, numerous birds and reptiles (yes I saw snakes but they're generally not a bother, just be mindful of them). The Glenelg River was a highlight and the campsites along it were my favourite of the whole walk. The scenery varied as well - forest, river, beaches and sea. One day I...

GSWW is 250 klms of walking trails maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers. I have only done a few of the short walks so far, each one a little different but always interesting and a great way to see the local coastline and forrests. Highly recommended especially with someone who knows the local history. Tracks are marked so you don't get lost but if you are new to walking there is a GSWW walking group you can join in with each month. See GSWW...

One of the worlds great walks. High cliffs river walking nature at its best. Keep an eye open for a wallaby echidna blue tongue lizard sea eagle wedge tail eagle swamp hawk AND SNAKES. Getting down to sea level to see Sea Lions Penguins a variety of sea birds. In season you may sight a whale. Enjoy your adventures. Its more than a week to complete...

What an amazing experience. The walk weaves you along the rugged Portland coastline. Fantastic & Beautiful walk especially around Cape Bridgewater. Make sure you see Seals, highest cliff in Victoria (130m), Petrified Forrest, Blowholes, Freshwater Springs, lake and caves!

The Great South West Walk - this is one of the nicest tracks to follow to take in the lovely Natural Environment - and the Local Scene's. Nothing can be more calming that the beautiful ocean views. Enjoy the delightful serenity
