In town for work. Dumplings are one of my favourite meals. Having eaten them at numerous places all over Vic these were a standout. Not only cooked to perfect the flavours were spot on. Subtle herbs don't overwhelm the pork or chicken. Although others knocked the decor it's very similar to other Dumpling places in Melbourne city and suburbs, just adds to the charm. Everything looked clean if a little dated.

Ordered 10 beef dumplings, sambal noodles and a kung pao chicken. Paid $57-something for it. Dined in - no plates, the food is simply served in takeaway packaging without lids. The food was cooked fresh and arrived very hot and the person who served us at the counter was pleasant. They're the only positive things I have to say about this place.

Plenty of choices in the menu. Only a handful of table available. Waited too long for almost an hour. Did not advise of the waiting time. There are only 3 staff working during the peak hours and it’s holiday season.

It breaks my heart to write this review. Here is why. 12 months ago I used to get Chinese at 2 other places, but was told by a mate here that the Wok was great food, so I tried it and absolutely loved it. I continue to by every other week there for the next 6 - 9 months and very happy. I even comment to friends its the best Chinese I ever had. Oh that Mongolian beef was out of this world. Then suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, the quality dropped by at least 40%, so next time I asked the nice lady there has the chef changed, and after persuasion, I had to confess to her the meal last week was not as good, but I continue to buy there. Then about 6 weeks ago, the food was not only lacking quality, but was to the stage it was unpleasant to eat, and I notice the staff was only men and no female as usual, so I guess its changed hands. Now I go to my original Chinese shop again, but would like to advise the new owners that you really need to pick up your game or there soon will be no game at all for you. I am so serious about this that if you really want, I could pop in and advise further, as I would like the food to get back to what it was...

First thing is this place look grubby and really like ur in a third world country instead. Crappie old seats and nothing to make it welcoming. Ordered a few different things to try. The satay chicken skewers were uninspiring. Sauce was only a tiny little tub and way too thick. Wont be ordering again. Curry puffs were my favourite. An online ordering system would be great to have it ready for you on arrival. Love the food 95% just not the shop. Parking is hard...

Food was delicious. Shame about the service. Phoned through my order. Paid when I got there at the time stated on the phonecall. The girl said just another five minutes. I sit there waiting, and waiting, as other customers had their food taken to them. 20 minutes later I go to the counter, my food is sitting on the bench! I was a little hangry and said a sarcastic thank you. Love the food though.I also know we are only human but the food was...
