I visited Kuranda village 3 days during my 9 day trip to Cairns to dine at this Japanese teahouse! Absolutely in love with their soy pudding with roasted green tea syrup (limited daily quantity). The texture was silky smooth, creamy yet light on the palate. The soy pudding tasted similar to the one that I had in Osaka and it was elevated and well complimented by the slightly bitter and fragrant roasted green tea syrup. Also had their sweet potato cheesecake, which was rich and creamy with a caramelly cookie base. Their teas are exquisite - delicate, floral and sweet. They sell traditional Japanese teas and unique tea blends with Australian native ingredients such as eucalyptus and lemon myrtle. The owners are super friendly, gave us a free taster for the teas. Their original green tea with mango was a very pleasant surprise with high quality dried fruit added to the tea. I bought some tea to brew at home too. I really hope they will visit...
