I've been to many cities around the world just to have pho — Paris, NYC, Hanoi, and so on. This place is truly amazing. Some people complain about the serving time, but I'm pretty sure they make everything on the fly (not using pre-cooked noodles).
I had a pork banh mi, special pho, and vermicelli with spring rolls (Bún chả giò). All the dishes were fantastic, and texture-wise, I can confidently say they are the best in Cairns. The broth was delicate, hot, and, most importantly, authentic — there is no freaking dominant artificial flavors at all. It’s been quite a while since I had the GREAT pho, a long time ago.

Read morePretty chaotic experience here! Waited 45 mins for food (was told it’d be 30). I’m guessing that they had to be understaffed as there only seemed to be two of them in there, they seemed stressed and were quite rude. Hopefully just a once off or else I’d say eat somewhere else, especially if you need to make it back for your train in time!
When the noodles eventually arrived they were nice but needed sauce. The portion was big which was great as I was super hungry, and the prawns were were big and fresh.
