After reading all the positive reviews, we were looking forward to trying a great steak house, but was sadly disappointed. We made a booking a few weeks back, for Valentinesday. When making the booking we were asked whether we would prefer cocktails or wine and which dessert - when asked if it was a set menu, the gentleman explained it wasn't, but to ensure they wouldn't run out they were taking pre-orders for Valentinesday desserts. Makes sense - no problem, selected creme brulee for both of us. Arrived at 7:30pm (our booking time), gave the name at the door and the lady tells us they have a table (we booked so i would hope so?), but that there weren't any desserts left.. not sure what the pre-orders were for then? We discussed staying or going and decided to stay, but I told her that it was very disappointing that were made to order 2 weeks in advance, we were looking forward to the creme brulee and they havent kept any aside for the bookings. Also no alternative offered, no other dessert available, except for more alcohol, but its part of the package? You pay $149 for 2 x steaks, 2 x sides, 2 x desserts and 2 x cocktails..
You'd think after voicing your displeasure, a manager or someone would make the effort to come talk to you, but nope.. we decided to take 2 entree, 2 steaks and some drinks and it ended up being cheaper than the Valentinesday deal.
Food came out really quick which was nice. Fish cakes were delicious, salt and pepper calamari was very thin and kind of rubbery, but still good flavour. Then the steaks came.. we had the same steak and same sauce, but for some reason he had sauce slathered over his steak and mine was in a plastic tub on the side (it was ordered the same).. told him to scrape the sauce off and low and behold, his steak was more medium than medium rare and basically black on the outside so the grill must've been turned way too hot. Started eating and realised both our steaks had a really bitter taste to it, as if the grill was not being scraped clean in between steaks and all the burnt bits are just sticking to the next steak. I get that it's busy on Valentinesday, but scraping the grill takes all of 1min.. Mushroom sauce tasted like it was tinned mushrooms being used instead of fresh. I didn't even eat half, my partner ate the steak. My plate was still basically full when the girl came to get the plates, didn't ask how it was or anything, tried to tell her it was disappointing, but got zero response or acknowledgement..
While eating our Mains we noticed tables getting desserts.. and when walking out we saw more tables around us getting desserts.. but we were told there were none? So after a very disappointing evening out we got up and left. Will not...

I took my little one to celebrate Mother’s Day dinner the service was absolutely disgusting the waiter that seated us did not tell me you had to order at the counter wasted 20 minutes looking at waiters, i had to go up to one and she tried avoiding me to be told order at the bar. Had a baby on my hip asked about drinks…. It was obvious I was struggling holding a baby, a bag, cutlery at the bar which I’m sure is illegal having under 18 at a bar. It would have been appreciated if they carried my drink as I had to leave my baby at the table to get water.
What doesn’t make sense is there was tray service for big tables and the service look seamless if you can do that for a big table you should do it for a small one.
As for the food
Rump sticks were ok but should of gotten a rib eye for my baby
400gram rib eye on the bone 4 bites were gristle fast wasn’t rendered and warm jelly covered that little part in mushroom gravy, As for gravy that needed to be in a cup or boat regardless of it being free The salad looked disgusting 2 chucks of tomato swimming in salad dressing that mixed in with the gravy.
Once finished I was glad to leave to have a waiter rush over to collect our dishes fastest service I’d...
Read moreCame for dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was fairly crowded, so we had a wait of 25 mins for a table. That's fine, expected. Our "come back" text arrived just as we walked back. We ordered immediately after seating. 2 mains - eye filled, 500gr T bone. Both medium rare. We then waited, and waited, and waited some more. It was only after seeing two tables that had ordered after us (and had entrees served) that we asked a waitress for an ETA on our food. "Very soon" was the response. I bet my friend that our steaks would be on the rare side - an indicator of a forgotten/misplaced and subsequently rushed order. At 49 minutes our food was served. Rare-ish and blue next to the bone. Our side order of beans was barely blanched and on the cool side. My hollandaise sauce was a little odd tasting (glad it was served on the side). 500g tbone must have lost some weight while it dry aged in the fridge to be on par with the average pub 350gr efforts. Mate though the crumbly "charcoal" on his steak was due to being cooked over an open fire grill. A crusty grill would be more likely. We ate as (after a long wait) we were starving. Wouldn't go back again, not with so many other...
