I went to dine in with 4 of my friends and we got there around 10:30 pm shortly before the restaurant was about to close. They still gave us 100% attention and the front of the house especially Nikki was amazing. When the food came it totally bowled us over. I am pure vegetarian and very spoilt by my mum’s cooking and ordered 4 vegetarian dishes. Hand on my heart they were not as good as my mum but very close and the best Indian food I had eaten outside my home. Highly recommend the yello Daal, Daal Makhni, Gobhi Manchurian and the Samosa Chaat. Even the saffron rice and Roti was amazing. I have tried out every Indian restaurant in Townsville and regret that I found this jewel towards the end of my stay. The desserts were really tasty but even more beautifully presented. The chef Mr Sharma is really a gem and very humble and talented. I could eat here everyday.
As you would imagine I went crazy and overate but yet when I slept I was full but not uneasy.
3 of my friends were pure non-vegetarians but they liked it too and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
Interestingly even though we ordered more but we paid less than what we had paid for 4 of us at other Indian restaurants.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants to taste good Indian food and hasn’t scored an invite to an Indian home where...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at The Indian Royal Flavours on Palmer Street in Townsville, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The venue was spacious, with a capacity of 100-150 guests, and the indoor and outdoor sittings were perfect for our needs.
But what truly made our event stand out was the exceptional service and food provided by the owners and chefs at Indian Royal Flavours. The buffet was super delicious and exceeded all of our expectations. The chefs were hands-on in delivering the best service, ensuring that our guests were satisfied and had an enjoyable experience.
The owners were also very accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process, answering all of our questions and ensuring that everything was taken care of. They were very attentive to detail and made sure that our event was a success.
Overall, I would highly recommend The Indian Royal Flavours to anyone looking for an excellent event venue and service. The food was exceptional, the venue was spacious and well-maintained, and the owners and chefs were very attentive and helpful. We look forward to booking another future event with them!
Thank you, Indian Royal Flavours, for an...
Read moreMy friend recommended this place, I have made a reservation online and placed order before so that we don't have to wait for the food. By the time we arrive and settled down, food came up in 5min. Front staff are too good with the service & they are polite too which I haven’t seen in any Indian restaurant in Townsville.
When it comes to the place it is very clean, good ambience, & good punjabi music which I couldn’t understand but still loved it. The food was simply delicious, good quantity and reasonable price. We ordered veg manchuria dry(Crispy and feels so fresh) and bhel puri(reminded me indian street style flavour) as a starter. For main course, we placed the chicken biriyani (less spicy and good flavours) & goat biriyani (goat pieces were so soft, its just melted in my mouth and I still can’t get over it & the rice flavour were similar to chicken biriyani). Asked for thin crust butter naan and the chef mastered it, along with the dhaba style chicken curry (must try curry). At last we ended with gulab jamun (again feels so fresh) and ras malai (it is bit too sweet). Hope we will go back to this place again...
