Went there on Monday night at 7:30pm and were told that they were sold out of pizza bases, only had one ‘slab’ and 3 ‘mini pizza’ bases left. Came back Tuesday at 6:30pm hoping we could actually buy a pizza because the phone number to order just rang out. Got there and ordered the $29.95 deal with one pizza and 4 Cornett then $4.95 added garlic bread and a drink. When I went to tap my card the orange haired girl serving said $36.90 and I pulled my card back saying that the two amounts don’t equal that. She then said “oh it’s extra” and I asked why and she said “chicken is extra”. I asked her where on any of the menus or signs does it say that because it doesn’t say it anywhere I could find it and she said it’s not on there. She then said that a lot of people say that. I told her that you should charge people what you put on the signs and on the menu. She then tried to palm me off to another staff member. I just gave up and paid telling her to tell her manager this isn’t okay and went to sit outside. Then watched her through the glass doors making gestures towards me and having another young woman in an elf hat and a middle aged man also look out at me while a young man behind him threw ingredients into pasta without wearing gloves. Thanks for making me feel terrible for being over charged, not told until I asked and not given any other options. This shop should charge what they advertise pizzas for, I expect to get bill shock with my power company when I use aircon in summer not from a local pizza joint. When I got the pizza home it was ok, but no raving reviews here for my $36.90. I don’t trust any place that tries to charge you extra without warning. Dishonest and not worth the money,...
Read moreOrdered 5pm on a Monday. Small Hawaiian.
Yes! Actual food!
I used to go to that place with the dots because I knew exactly what I was getting. Disappointment...
At a chain stores, you pay extra for triple toppings, just so you know you're going to get more than 3 pieces of pineapple per slice.
At Mimos, my small Hawaiian looked like they upended a whole tin of pineapple on to it! It was awesome! I'll try to take a photo next time, to prove my statement. But I was too busy eating it.
This pizza has actual flavour. I'm assuming it's because it's made with actual food.
Look, the chain stores look like they're cheaper until you realise you have to pay a lot extra to get the correct serve of toppings. So you pay extra for your toppings. You'll order a larger size than you need, and unless you specifically ask for a deep pan you are still going to be hungry after eating your cardboard circle...
Don't mess about with the chain stores. Just get some real...
Read moreWe moved to Hervey Bay approxmiatley 2 years ago and discovered Mimo's at Urangan. Great Pizza, if you could only get onto them to order it.
Since you have re-opened we have tried on 3 separate occassions to make an order via telephone only to be met with an engaged line. We continue to try numerous times but to no avail. This happens anytime during the week, most recently tonight.
I was driving past on my way home and decided to drop in to check I was ringing the correct number. I spoke with the on duty manager who advised there is nothing he can do, there are only two phones. I suggested a phone system that places you in a que. The manager didnt seem to care, stating that the business makes $3000 in an hour, seemingly not caring about my loyal local patronage.
I am sincerely disappointed in this and at this time will order my pizzas from Smithy's, where I do not experience the same...
