I had heard the radio ads with the "pie man" jingle and decided it was about time I taste the pie myself. I had alerted staff that I was there to judge the quality, which was met with nervous glances. My preferred pie (chunky steak) was still being cooked and 20mins away 🤷‍♂️ so consolation pie... Best Pie in Hervey Bay. Pastry isn't too thick so it's always well cooked and flakes, so it's never stodgy. Meat and gravy inside is fresh and I've never had any fat or gristle in any pie that I've eaten there. Their best Pie has to be the new Jalapeno and Cheese that they now have. Hope they keep it permanently. Staff are really friendly too and it's the only Pie shop worthy of visiting in the Bay. They also have heaps of really nice looking cakes, but haven't tried any...
