Negative experiences. I gave this place three trys. First time was alright, no issues, good food and convenient location, so I went there for the second time, I was in a convo via phone when my ramen was brought to the table, when I finished the convo, the table next to me was served with their food and they immediately found that there was no meat in their ramen when there really should be. The staff said it was a mistake and brought them the meat, the staff then passed by my table and just checked my ramen and found that they forgot to put meat in my bowl too - I'm still grateful for the table next to me otherwise I probably won't notice that by myself. Today I gave it the third try because the second time could just be an accident / simple mistake which I won't care too much. Today I went inside, ordered my food, grabbed a seat and started waiting. FOURTY minutes passed, I still didn't have my food, I didn't rush them because they seemed a bit understaffed and busy, but I seriously didn't think a ramen would take that long, I lost my patience waiting and asked a staff how long it's gonna take it's been fourty minutes since I placed my order. She went back to the kitchen and my order ticket was sitting in the completed area - which means they had served the food and the customer should be happily eating or probably be gone already, while I never had my food!! It was literally 40 minutes waiting, no staff ever checked on me, no staff was ever curious about "why that customer is just sitting there for so long, with no food, not looking at the menu, seemed to be waiting for something?" I looked her dead in the eye and said I wanted a refund. She gave me cash refund for the dish only, ignoring the fact that I had also paid card surcharge on top of it as well. But I was just deadly hungry and didn't bother to extend the conversation. Not a big issue at all, I'm just tired of dealing with businesses like this....
Read moreI have been going to Ramen Street weekly since you opened and I eat in. The food is good but the service is very inconsistent. Some days they bring your meal on a tray with cutlery, other times they bring just your bowl and tell you to go back to the counter where the staff just came from and get your own cutlery, I never know which it will be even when I am the only person in the establishment. There is a female staff member who sits at the front counter staring into space mostly or playing on her phone, very unprofessional and just appears lazy. The worst part is how dusty and unclean the place is. You really need to dust, URGENTLY. My last visit I was sitting next to that black decorative partition and saw how much dust was caked on it and that it appeared to have never been cleaned. I felt sick and had to move seats for fear of getting dust fall into my food. Also, the sign you have at the counter that states card surcharge, stop hiding it behind things so it cannot be seen. Ramen Street started out well but has slacked off and I'm not sure I...
Read moreWe were excited to try the tsukemen here as you don't see many Japanese restaurants offering this dish. The girl who served us was polite and very friendly. The food came soon after and the portion was quite generous.
Everything so far was really good until we ate the food. The broth literally had no flavour. I would have been better off to eat the noodles with soy sauce only, at least that would be more flavourful that what we ordered here.
I've had tsukemen now at a total of 5 restaurants (3 placed in Sydney and one place in japan) and this is by far the worst of them all. Not authentic, the soup was watery and not thick like it is supposed to be.
Hopefully their other dishes are better as you can't get any worse than the tsukemen here.
If your ever in tokyo, more specifically around the ginza area, i suggest you try the tsukemen restaurant where is left a review in may 2023. That place is where you can get real...
