A disappointing exercise in patience.

Upon arrival, my Father and I experienced perhaps the slowest front counter service I've ever experienced, after a 5 minute wait while the 2 people in front of us placed their orders, we spent another 5 placing ours. This delay was present despite us already having decided what we wanted, the cashier struggled a lot simply trying to place our order.

Following this was a 40 minute wait for the food (On a quiet night), I had hoped this wait would result in a well cooked parmie, I was disappointed with a burned and dry mess of a parmie. My father was presented with a slightly better cooked Schnitzel and an far too much mushroom sauce, most of which went to waste as there was easily enough to cover the entire schnitzel twice over.

Overall, a major disappointment, I has hoped for an improvement over last time, however I am sad to say things have worsened.

Preview review (2020) - 3 Star TLDR: Great Parmies, Good Value., Service issues

Dining here during the Tuesday night parmie night, I naturally ordered accordingly, as did the rest of my family. Our parmies were thick, jucy, well crumbed and well topped with good cooking. Presentation was average. Normally I would give this 4 Stars, however there were several issues with service. Staff failed to provide a table number to us when ordering, and as we found out shortly after, placed our order onto another table. They worked quickly to resolve the issue. However, perhaps as a result of the mix up, our meals took almost 40 minutes to arrive, a disappointing wait. Furthermore, and this is a nitpick, the music videos displayed in the main TV were, at times, pornographic.

Overall, I would love to have rated this 4 stars, but it looks like I will have to return some time down the to see if my review needs to be amended.

Came around 6pm on a Tuesday and ordered a Ham Parmi. I was very disappointed by very dried out chicken which is reminiscent of pre cooked chicken that has been heated up. The taste in the Napoli sauce was very underwhelming and lacking in taste or a desirable texture. The chips on the side where good as well as the general presentation and speed in which the meal was delivered. Pricing was also good. I would recommend this place for a budget meal provided you aren't looking for any amazing taste, however only on the nights they offer specials, otherwise the food is not close to being worth...

Wanted to like this place, it was recommended but they over charged me by $22 on the Eftpos, initially the staff member tried to argue it was correct, when I asked for the money to be refunded back on the card was told ‘I don’t know how to do that’ well here’s some advice.... find out how! Cash was provided back but I didn’t want cash. I’d like to hope it’s not a scam so just double check your Eftpos v receipt. The food was incredibly disappointing, gravy was poured all over my T bone (I didn’t want that and wasn’t offered a choice) and there was about 10 chips. Why be so stingy with something that costs virtually nothing? It was just really average. Won’t be...

Very popular spot. If you like your big pub meals at very affordable prices this place would come highly recommended. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and nearly the size of my plate accompanied with creamy mushroom sauce, freshly cooked fries and a delicious salad that tasted like they just plucked the veggies out of there garden! Live music at times, great place for a social or work get together. In all the times I've frequented Shamrock, the staff are the cherry on the cake that makes this place stand out from the other local...
