Four of us stopped in here today for a Sunday breakfast prior to leaving after a great little weekend. I ordered the zucchini patties, my wife and another friend the egg and bacon in Turkish bread and the fourth a big breakfast. Now I understand things get busy; we are food shop owners ourselves, however in food timings are the NUMBER 1 rule! The big breakfast came out first - 12 min later the two egg and bacon, so the person having the BB had to sit there and let it get cold (good manners dictates not eating until all served). When the other meals came out I advised all to start as we had no idea when my meal would come - but not even I suspected it would be a further full 10 min. BB guy had finished, as had my wife! Then I was informed that the third patty would be out shortly!!??? I then had to sit there eating while my three companions just sat around chatting and watching me - VERY uncomfortable for all involved. I get it, I really do; you can get very busy at times but seriously; timings!! its the first lesson. Won't be going back...
Read moreI have been to this place twice now. The first time unfortunately cafe options were out of hours but I still found a way to spend my money. How you ask? Well this place is wall to wall memorabilia. Talk about a nostalgia trip for me a walk down memory lane. But thats not all if you like the footy, car, food or anything like these there is stuff for you as well. Sinage, Illuminated signs, neon, figurines. You name it they got it. So I had to make a second trip and this time had an afternoon cuppa and scones with jam and cream. Wow was it good but the jam yumm. Not had jam so good for a long time. This trip gave me the opportunity to really absorb what was there. Not only did I take a trip down memory lane but it gave me time to see what having a quick glance wont let you see. This is one place you cant go past, good for brekky, light lunch and morning and afternoon cuppa's and oh yeah make sure you have a cake....
Read moreOK, so fair is fair. The food was nice, and the coffee was good, but not a lot of options. But it has many ++++ to it. Instore is an array of collectable goods to purchase, mostly replica but i do believe i did see some authentic stuff but dont qoute me on it. I bought a huge Ned Kelly mug. Please take note: do NOT put the cups and stuff in the dishwasher. The label just peeled right off. I'm glad the cup was not overkill expensive. The Cafe itself has a really nostalgic feel about it and plenty of seating. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would return here when passing through, actually today was my second time stopping here so must have some good charm about it thats for sure. Drop in and say hi...
