This evening, Tues 17th Dec 2024 my family and I were about to embark on some evening christmas shopping. It was around 6pm, I was seeking a coffee, many of the coffee shops were shut so I went to the maccas counter. The food court was very quiet. There weren't any customers in the vicinity of the McDonald's. Behind the counter a female employee and a few male employees were chatting. I think the female was a supervisor. I approached the register behind which the female was standing, and I asked for a take away coffee. She motioned to the other register told me to order there, and then continued her conversation. I understand that there are many different roles people play within a work environment. However, from a customer's perspective, seeing a bunch of employees chatting behind a counter, when there aren't any other customers, being told that they aren't able to serve you, is a bit rude. I know it's only maccas. Also, it's not the most egregious of things. However, I do feel that a tiny bit more customer focus would go a long way. Standing behind the counter of a shop generator implies that you are able to serve a customer, right? There could be a rouge person from a different department completing a non register related task briefly pausing by a register, but four people? Four employees who weren't engaged in any tasks that I could see. In an empty food court, no other customers are around. None of them could serve me? I know it's a small thing; but it was really annoying. How hard would it be to nicely tell the person who was working on the register "This lady would like a take away coffee, could you help her out"? Even if a customer requests something that isn't within the realms of your specific training/ area of responsibility; it's nice to acknowledge what they've requested. Those who can't / don't want to interact with customer's should perhaps not chill behind the counter. The girl who ended up serving me was nice, though. The coffee itself was great, lovely. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the coffee itself. I'm slightly worried the supervisor chick might have spat in it, hopefully not. I couldn't taste anything dodgie, it was a nice coffee as I said. Plus, if she did spit in it the hot coffeee would kill most...
Read moreHorrified at this mornings order! Ordered delivery and was suprised to see the hotcakes I ordered for my son were MOULDY! And the smell, oh my gosh they were absolutely vile. This is the second time we’ve had disgusting hot cakes delivered, 1st time a few months back they were delivered and were not edible, they were like concrete, insane. Didn’t complain, and gave the benefit of the doubt and tried again, only to receive what we did this morning. Absolutely unacceptable. Spoke with a manager and took them back in store, manager was apologetic and offered to replace them but sorry no thank you. Hoping to hear back asap regarding my refund. Just sickening and such a shame. Unfortunately won’t be ordering hot cakes from this...
Read moreThe staff seemed to dislike Asians. She was very friendly with Australians, but when I placed my order, she kept looking at her watch and not paying attention. I had to repeat my order several times. I know my English might not be fluent, so I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She still got my order wrong. I was very disappointed. The staff member at the counter on Tuesday around 2:20 pm was wearing glasses. On the other hand, the petite staff member who made the drinks was very helpful. Thank you very much. I hope my feedback helps you understand your...
