The Coffee Club Café - Shellharbour — Restaurant in Shellharbour City Centre

It would appear that the response from the owner below is purely lip service and is in no way intended to address the problem, as I did as requested and emailed my details 5 days ago on the 18th January and at this point in time I'm still awaiting contact. Makes me feel even more let down from my initial bad experience!!!!!

I've been a regular return customer for a number of years and have found the service, food and coffee excellent...... But sadly after attending the Coffee Club Shellharbour for breakfast I must say how completely disappointed I was in all facets. The service left so much to be desired, having been seated we had to search out our own menus and then after almost 15 minutes of waiting we were approached by a staff member (there were only 3 other tables of customers). Our food came out quickly enough, but we were still waiting on our coffee, and hadn't been given any table water, so I asked for some.... This finally came out with our coffee about half way through our breakfast, which is not good enough. My wife found egg shells in her poached egg and when she told a staff member she only apologised and that was it. My coffee was very sour and tasted burnt.... Lunch with mum, special day for us. Decided to go here because of convenience, easy parking and it's a popular place. It was very busy at midday when we arrived, and we were lucky to get seated as someone was just leaving. The greeter was friendly and so was the waiter. He informed us there would be a half hour to 40 min wait for meals from the kitchen. He was right, we waited 45mins, several people near us weren't informed and were becoming irritated, especially when we received our meals. Mum ordered the cauliflower and something salad and was disappointed with her choice. She said it was ok but won't order it again, I thought it looked terrible, a bit dark, and big chucky bits of cauliflower sitting on an undressed bunch of green leaves. I ordered the club sandwich, the fillings were delicious but the bread was dried out but not from being toasted but maybe over nuked. The very small serve of tiramisu, was nice, the coffee was ok, mum's flat white was ok too. We paid approx $30 per head, and decided to try somewhere else when we plan our next lunch date. My husband and I went here this morning for breakfast. Last time we came and we are regulars, my husband ordered eggs benedict and he was served an omelette. We didnt send it back as my food would have gone cold waiting for the order to be fixed. Today I asked for cheesy scrambled eggs and there was the smallest amount of egg Ive seen and when they were served I asked if they had cheese and the waitress told me no. I asked for what I ordered and the waitress took them back and came back and said that she was wrong and they had cheese in them, and they certainly didnt. I was charged for the extra cheese which was very annoying and my husbands egg benedict had the smallest eggs on them we'd seen. The toast was over cooked on both our meals and both meals were cold.
