My family and I sat down for breakfast on the 27/12. The café wasn’t busy at the time. Unfortunately, it was a big miss. My husband and I ordered « The Cure » and the kids had toasties. When the plates arrived (the Cure), we noticed straight away that the eggs were missing on both our plates . We told the manager who took the plates back to the kitchen. Fast forward 30 min later, the kids finally got their toasties while my husband and I nearly finished ours. In the meantime, we also mentioned to the staff that a component of the dish was missing again. The beans actually came when we were at the end of our meal. From what we could see, we weren’t the only tables with mistakes. For a place that is charging 20% surcharge on a public holiday, those things should not happen. Obviously some miscommunication in the kitchen and staff . A table of 4, two sets of meals which came 30min apart, and items missing on plates. I must add that the items missing were part of their original menu description. Mistakes can happen for sure but that much became quite ridiculous in the end.
Maybe we were just unlucky considering all the others reviews. But to us, it was very disappointing, we won’t be back and we...
Read moreYears ago enjoyed Gogo's a couple of times when it was located in Highgate. We decided to try at their new venue in S. Perth. We found it interesting indeed that on their Web Site there is Food & Wine Menus BUT no prices - (After visit I now know why). We did find prices via facebook which we never usually use. Wife & self went for an evening meal around 6.30pm - they weren't busy but service was slow & food not worth prices charged. Their Wine list is expensive & totally unnecessary for a very average Restaurant like this. I ordered a btl of wine priced at $52 -- after looking at rthe price next day I could have bought retail for under $23 ! So a stunning mark up for sure. The Goat & garlic Naan were very average & NOT as good as we get in EV Park at our favourite Indian for a lot less. The Chicken tikka was also very average. Beware - this Restaurant relies on high prices for food & stupid insanely priced & expensive wines. We will...
Read moreGogo’s IMO have Perth’s best omelette hands down, at least my very favourite. But unfortunately it’s priced too high compared to other omelettes I’ve had at countless cafes around the city and thereabouts. The food is great (although expensive consistently) and environment is lovely but I do think that their coffee isn’t the best and has great room for improvement. I’m only giving 3 stars due to very high pricing and while I do think their omelette at $25.5 before any Sunday or public holiday surcharge is unreasonably high, I keep going back to them, failing my wallet before my taste buds. That said, I do try to keep finding a better omelette as I don’t want to support uncompetitive pricing so I very genuinely hope they listen and price better. The cafe next door to them has omelette for like $15 and anywhere else I’ve been to, it’s never more than $20. The pub hol. surcharge they apply is also quite high at...
