Shoeys Bakery — Restaurant in South West Rocks

Ordered my husbands coffee and food and then asked for a black hot chocolate for myself. I nearly died when I saw how much chocolate she put in, it was way too much and I mentioned it to her hoping she would scoop some out but she just stated that it's made that way. I knew it was going to be way to rich so I asked if she would tip it into a bigger cup and add some water so that it wouldn't be too strong. She refused and said I would have to pay for the larger size. All I wanted was to water it down a bit. Instead she threw it out and made another one with a tiny bit of chocolate so that it was like flavoured water. She was so rude that when I walked out she started laughing with some friends about it. What happened to just giving the customer something they can enjoy. She deliberately. made the 2nd cup undrinkable. $4.90 She preferred to throw out the one she made me and waste it, all because I asked for more water. Never have I ever been treated like that...

This photo shows exactly why I don't shop here.....this morning (1/3/23 8:15am), my husband purchased these two bread rolls. They are burned, hard and dry, with no rise in the bun whatsoever. He said they were basically thrown at him as it was busy. It's busy, because there's no other competition in SWR town itself. I have found the staff rude, curt and unfriendly. Everytime it's the same! I thought we'd give them another try, but this is the last. The tourists come and go. But the locals stay and support. Shame on Shoeys and...

Have enjoyed calling in at this bakery last year when we go up and back along the coast for what was the best omg chili pie. But all that changed when first they stopped making them then they started again. Unfortunately the bakery just sells anything without caring about if it's enjoyable or not. Today's Pie the pastry hard as a rock and half filled. Bread was 2 days old and sourbread rolls...
