Rude and unprofessional staff. I had finished a long day of work and planned to have a dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday, which we rarely ever do. My sister forgot her ID and as she was trying to find it on her phone, the two staff at reception were giving each other looks, shrugging their shoulders at each other with smiles and giggling/scoffing under their breaths as we were conversing back and forth about the ID both to the staff members and between ourselves. They made is seem as though the situation was both ridiculous and funny but the fact that they acted like that so blantantly in front of my whole family really ruined my night. I only took a couple steps inside and was already treated rudedly and with unprofessionalism. I decided to leave immediately and go to another place to have dinner. Everytime I think about the horrible interaction leaves me feeling quite depressed as I was so excited that day. I won't ever go again and I won't recommend to...
Read moreWOW...what a great club and Find. Went here on a Tuesday night (after trying a local pub in town center the night before...which was very average )...wish I found this club earlier. Super friendly staff and locals...many just happy to have a chat. Beautiful modern and spotless club great range of cheap tap beers. I decided to try a steak in the Seasons Restaurant ..as luck would have it...$14 Tuesday special night. I had a perfectly cooked medium rare Sirloin steak , steak cut chips, a tasty salad (unlike a lot a places that just throw in a few lettuce leaves and mini tomatoes for filler ) and a Schooner of Carlton Draft (you can choose any beer) for $14. REALLY? that's insane. I decided to stay for a few more beers in the comfy bar area...and when it was time to leave...the friendly courtesy bud driver was only too happy to take me back to the hotel. I really am impressed...
Read moreAverage food and average atmosphere. The bar staff were rude, they seemed like they were made to go out of their way to make me a drink (the bar was empty). I have worked busy bars, so it makes sense when it’s a hassle during a rush, but there were four staffed and the bar was dead quiet on a Wednesday.
The food was poor. $40 for a steak is a big ask for a club, only for it to be burnt to a crisp (I asked medium rare, like I would understand if you made it medium but $40 for well done when I asked for rare is awful).
The bowling alley downstairs is cute, it’s a nice clean alley and probably the highlight of the club. $12.50 for a game is not bad.
For the only major club in the area, you’d think they could put a lot of that holiday pokie money into some decent service though. Avoid if you’re just coming for dinner, there are plenty of other...
