I never normally post negative reviews as I know how this can impact a business however I have felt compelled to do so in this situation. After booking on Saturday for a Groupon with clear confirmation from the lady taking my booking that I could use the Groupon Voucher for lunch, I turned up for my booking. On arrival I was told that this was a takeaway groupon only and would not be able to use it . I was also told that 24 hours notice was also needed to prepare this particular platter (three weeks notice was provided) After speaking to the manager he told me that I was mistaken and the person taking my booking must have assumed it was a different voucher that the restaurant was currently offering. Read moreI feel sorry for anyone else who came to this place without first checking the reviews and is now reading this, hoping to find other poor souls to sympathise and fill the disappointment with. Had the pork katsu ramen (ha!) at a delectable $13. The ‘noodles’, or partially cooked salt dough strings, bathed in a puddle of raw garlic soup that burned the throat with each dreaded gulp. The pork katsu which was served separate to the garlic soup, was slathered in a sickly sweet, soy concoction that could potentially violate the Geneva conventions treaty against chemical weapons. The actual pork itself was well cooked, so a single star for that at least.
Another in my party had the teriyaki tofu, which was undercooked, and tasteless, and served with a pitiful arrangement of vegetables masquerading as a salad; The salad was somehow slimy, watery, and oily all at once, truly a marvel to behold.
All in all; one star, find somewhere else to go and don’t encourage this bastardised form of Japanese cuisine. Try Ocean’s Ramen in Northbridge for a good ramen, or Popo in the city for a...
