I never normally post negative reviews as I know how this can impact a business however I have felt compelled to do so in this situation. After booking on Saturday for a Groupon with clear confirmation from the lady taking my booking that I could use the Groupon Voucher for lunch, I turned up for my booking. On arrival I was told that this was a takeaway groupon only and would not be able to use it . I was also told that 24 hours notice was also needed to prepare this particular platter (three weeks notice was provided) After speaking to the manager he told me that I was mistaken and the person taking my booking must have assumed it was a different voucher that the restaurant was currently offering. I was very confident that I had communicated the correct voucher as we had a conversation about it when booking. It was disappointing to have to take our business elsewhere but after looking at some of the reviews I can see it was probably the right choice. I would suggest that management reflects on what is good customer service practice before utilising companies such as Groupon in an attempt to build up a...

I feel sorry for anyone else who came to this place without first checking the reviews and is now reading this, hoping to find other poor souls to sympathise and fill the disappointment with. Had the pork katsu ramen (ha!) at a delectable $13. The ‘noodles’, or partially cooked salt dough strings, bathed in a puddle of raw garlic soup that burned the throat with each dreaded gulp. The pork katsu which was served separate to the garlic soup, was slathered in a sickly sweet, soy concoction that could potentially violate the Geneva conventions treaty against chemical weapons. The actual pork itself was well cooked, so a single star for that at least.

Another in my party had the teriyaki tofu, which was undercooked, and tasteless, and served with a pitiful arrangement of vegetables masquerading as a salad; The salad was somehow slimy, watery, and oily all at once, truly a marvel to behold.

All in all; one star, find somewhere else to go and don’t encourage this bastardised form of Japanese cuisine. Try Ocean’s Ramen in Northbridge for a good ramen, or Popo in the city for a...

My Girlfriend, daughter and I went here today. The food was excellent, possibly the best chicken I've ever had.

I had the Curry Chicken bowl, My daughter the Teriyaki Chicken Bento and my Girlfriend is British and usually doesn't like Foreign Food but she said it was the greatest Salad she's ever had.

$40 dollars all together and none of us could finish our meal's the portions were so big.

My Girlfriend said it was the tastiest, most delicious chicken she's ever had. My daughter was also very happy.

I spilled my daughters Miso Soup and the staff member who just sat down to eat got up and wiped down our table for us.

Excellent Price, great service and fantastic Japanese aesthetic of both the food and the place was above and beyond what I expected for the price.

The best place in WA to take someone who doesn't like or hasn't tried...

Edo is transforming its business model into a takeaway-only food outlet. The floor space had been halved with the installation of a new wall. The service counter was in the eastern part and tables and chairs with a side table of condiments and disposable cutlery in the newly formed western "shop". The cheap and cheerful vibe is gone, Food was always average, but cheap and fast. We saw a few workers still in their work uniforms drop in for dinner. Edo also caters for food deliveries and there was a constant stream of people with those big insulated cubes walking next door. Obviously a popular place with the locals who want a take-out meal.

Poor customer service. Terrible food, Sashimi extremely thin and not fresh. The cut quality was like it was chewed by a dog before. Pieces still stuck together, some broken. Waited 45 min for bento when there was no other customers around. Curry was sour and taste like it was from an expired instant packet curry. Place was dirty, ceiling fan looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. (photo below) Also saw one of the chef did not wash his hands after using the toilet. Will not recommend, even if the Groupon deal seems cheap.

It really depends on what you order at this place. Some are great and some not so great. I had their tempura vegetable and substituted the rice with udon noodle soup and I loved it. My husband ordered the katsu chicken and substituted the rice for ramen and that was a mistake. While the katsu chicken was great, the ramen was totally bland, so definitely just stick with rice. The curry chicken, teriyaki fish and teriyaki beef were all on the less taste side. The mixed platter was good and the sashimi was okay.
