Hello Harry The Burger Joint or Harry’s for short (as I am coining it) is located in Subi where Jus Burgers used to be, and despite me being sad to see the latter go, Harry’s is a worthwhile replacement. I tried their maple bacon burger which also consisted of a beef Pattie and at just $14 this is a bang for your buck type of burger. The house jam and maple bacon created a sweet contrast of flavours, complementing the meaty and juicy smashed beef pattie, accompanied also with fresh pickles, cheese and American mustard. I also ended up paying for one serving of fries (which is $6) as this did not come with the burger, but I digress, this was still a very reasonable $20 I ended up spending. The serving size of the fries seemed small at first, but once I tried one, I didn’t actually mind the smaller serving size than I am accustomed to, because they weren’t your regular run of the mill fries, but nicely seasoned with sea salt and red paprika - at least those are the flavours I think they seasoned the fries with, as the menu just says “special seasoning” - and special seasoning it is indeed. Some of the better fries I have had with a burger! Simple, but sublime. This making up, for the smaller serving size than some other burger competitors dish up around Perth. There’s also the argument to be made, that fries are the sideshow anyways, and I actually appreciated that I wasn’t buried with fries to consume, instead I was able to eat both the burger and the fries comfortably enough that I felt just enough full, meaning that the meal perfectly satiated my hunger and taste buds without going overboard or conversely, underboard. Harry’s itself is pretty small, but it’s got a cool mural on the wall, and this style permeates throughout the rest of the venue, with a swanky yellow and black theme, some funny artwork advertisements, and your standard, laid-back, burger joint seating. I personally enjoyed sitting within Harry’s outdoor alfresco area, centred around two large palm trees, decorated with fairy lights all around them, just like your Christmas tree on a warm, sunny Perth day in the middle of December - this being the final touch to the star on top of the tree that Harry’s is. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming...
Read moreI am writing to formally complain about the poor service I experienced at your Subiaco location.
I had been looking forward to trying Hello Harry for some time and was excited to finally have the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by unprofessional conduct and significant delays.
Upon my arrival, I encountered a male staff member who was vocally complaining about his job, including having to work on a bank holiday and his dissatisfaction with his pay. He was loud and included shouting and swearing, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere for customers, including myself. Additionally, he was openly moaning about the Eat Club app, which I had used to place my order. This further added to my discomfort while waiting. He explained that he was on his own, and while I appreciate his situation, he could have contained himself.
I had scheduled my food to be picked up at 4:30 PM, but I did not receive my order until 25 minutes later, which was quite inconvenient.
On a positive note, I was very pleased with the quality of the food. It was really good, and the fried chicken was the best I've had in Perth so far.
I do not usually complain and feel bad doing so, but I thought this situation needed to...

We came back for more burgers. The Aussie burger was so good. It was very filling. The maple bacon burger was a lil too sweet but strangely the flavour combo worked. My girl also loved her beef burger with vegan free bun. The little let down was the loaded fries. We loved this burger joint. Service was friendly, place was chill, price was good. Burgers were also yum.
We ordered chop up salad for starter. For $6, it's def value for money. It was a great salad.
They were in the process of changing their menu to a smaller one, but they allowed us to order one burger from the old menu; The south of the border. It was moist without the feeling of greasiness. The red pepper relish lifted up the flavour to another level. It has such complexity of flavour.
Big Kahuna was the lighter burger in term of flavour, but you could taste each ingredient shining through. The bacon was done well, it's not fatty. The grilled pineapple was yum. Loved pineapple done right in many things, pizza or rice dish!
They also have vegan burgers and kid's menu. Will def be back to try...
