I'd like to start by saying that I take reviews quite seriously. I would never give a 1 star unless it was genuinely bad.
I came here for dinner and the bottom line is honestly, I would never come here again.
We ordered the the green curry and the tom kha soup. The green curry was sweet, which was just strange and bad. If they claim to be "authentic", I've never tasted a green curry like this in Thailand. The tom kha soup was ok. The rice was old, it looked and tasted like it was cooked yesterday. At $5 for a small bowl, you'd think they would have a bit more attention to detail, but maybe they think in Australia, people wouldn't know the difference.
Also, I think the staff are very ignorant about how to speak to customers. Their attitude left my friends and I in disgust. At first I thought maybe this is unique to our experience, but after reading some other reviews it's apparent it happens rather frequently.
I'm not sure how businesses like this can exist, because the food isn't even good. If there wasn't such a low care factor in Australia, this business would not survive. Both the food and their attitude actually left me feeling a bit sick in the stomach after my meal.
I came here because one of the friends recommended it based on his experience at the Leederville store, but my experience here has ruined my impression of the franchise.
Six Senses? Maybe change the name to...
Read moreThe waitpersons in Subiaco branch apparently unprofessional. Not only just a meal order was not taken properly, the waitress refused to acknowledge her mistake and escalated to an argument. Another waiter came to drop the bill on the table and ordered to pay the bill immediately. We were still having a conversation after meals since the restaurant is completely empty apart from another table with two people on the entire floor. Took this opportunity to tell the staff to be more hospitable instead of appearing 'rude' to the customers. Still appeared indifferent and shielding behind 'restaurant policies', which no one cannot answer where to find the information about. This is not the first time in recent months that I have had similar awful experience in that branch. Would not visit the place again anymore unless the staff were properly trained for more friendly and approachable. For example, instead of abrupting our enjoying the quiet time in the restaurant by asking for bill and urging to leave, the floor staff could have tried to engage in a small talk and check if we would like to order a drink/ desert. I did enjoy going to the restaurant before for the food and friendly staff. It was very disappointing our neighborhood restaurant is turning into a place of hostility in the...
