Learn moreTonight, I had an unforgettable family dinner, and the food was absolutely outstanding! Although we had a generous 1 hour and 45 minutes to enjoy our meal, it turned out that the time was more than sufficient. In fact, I found myself relaxing for about 30 minutes at the end, allowing the delicious flavors to settle in my satisfied belly.
The assortment of perfectly cooked meats was a culinary delight. They served an array of mouthwatering dishes, almost like a masterfully woven tapestry of flavors. Each tender beef slice had its unique spices, complemented by succulent pork, spicy chili chicken, flavorful honey-glazed options, aromatic rosemary lamb, tempting pastas, refreshing salads and more. A particular standout was the delectable pineapple with cinnamon, which paired so harmoniously with the meat. As someone who loves to eat heartily, I must say it was one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences I've had.
In addition to that, they brought along some delightful side dishes such as potato chips, rice, and a tasty bean relish. Notably, the drinks we ordered were served with impressive speed made the food go down really well, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.
The attentive staff contributed to the delightful ambiance of the place. They all wore warm smiles and displayed respectful and polite manners throughout the evening. The overall atmosphere was cheerful and inviting, making it a perfect evening out, the staff was incredibly attentive, repeatedly offering more and more food from the meat skewers. To my delight, the meat was perfectly cooked and served at just the right temperature, ready to be enjoyed straight away without any need to cool down.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a solid 10, and I'm already looking forward to returning. At first, I jokingly thought I'd want to dine there every day, but after savoring such a sumptuous feast and feeling my belly full to the brim, I've realized I might need to take it easy...
Read moreWould like to share my experience from the 3 of September! First of all, my hubby and I have been regular customers of Lappa for years and never expected anything bad from them! On that day I brought my parents to celebrate my birthday dinner, which was 6 people including my 2 years old, we had the regular meat feast, so food started to come up and all of us were in a little bit of shock, meat was extremely fatty, and undercooked, we never experience this before, broccoli was full of sand and dirt, you can feel that on your mouth, usually my hubby and I eat a lot there but this time we barely can feel half of the plate, my parents keep asking is this normal? I feel so upset, I can see everybody is so confused with the food! We went to Lappa before when we wanted to eat the best meat in Perth, this time was so bad! We ended up with a $600 bill and a disappointment! When we came home I almost immediately started to vomit, was very sick for 1 hour and had a tummy ache! After I called my parent and found out my dad vomiting for hours and my mum was sick as well as my sister! The only person who was okay was my little baby thanks God but for some reason, she didn't touch the food in the restaurant on that night! So my mum made a decision to go to the hospital, my dad was very sick for 2 days after that! I called the restaurant the same night and let them know what happened, The manager told me to write an email with all the info! Why do I need to do that I already told you everything on the phone, do you think I have time?! I called them again the next day to let them know about it but they were so busy and kept putting me on hold! Are you serious? Managers Told me the same, write an email pls! I don't think so I need to chase restaurants after poisoning! They should fix this problem on the day I call or max next day! Very disappointing and never ever come back! In my opinion in this type of situation, the restaurant should at least apologize and refund at least half...
Read moreI've always been interested in experiencing this place, and it is an experience... I attended as part of a group table, you have an oval bowl and meat is brought to your table almost immediately. They serve 7-8 types of meat and a couple of salads in-between, circulating this order about twice.
Service: Attentive with the delivery of meats, taking orders. Tends to be spillage where they serve at your table, but otherwise fine. I found the drinks would take a while. Staff are friendly.
Food: I would say this place is comparable to Sizzlers in quality, except the food comes to you. I think most of the meats are not the best cuts either, nor slow cooked enough/ overcooked. I was disappointed with the lack of salads or side dishes, they should have a dedicated table or placed on the patrons table to help compliment the assorted meats. Side dishes were very average, and no condiments. Patrons at my table agreed the oval bowl makes it hard to eat once they start filling it with meats.
Price point: $68pp on a Saturday, is the experience worth it? Absolutely not, as I said the quality of food was on par with what Sizzlers would do. Even worse, we had a vegetarian who pays $34 + $8 for a mini-main dish. But because all the side dishes are rubbish, it creates an incredibly bad deal for a vegetarian.
Atmosphere: You can see there is a good level of togetherness with the staff, helps navigate the crazy demand of a busy restaurant. It is indeed a busy, tight fit in there. You can see the meat servers struggling to weave their carts between tables. The strangest oddity is how patrons pay, whole tables will stand and line behind eating guests for long durations. I would have thought the waiter goes to each table to collect payment, this would alleviate the space restrictions inside and make it less awkward for everyone.
TL;DR: If your a couple with a $150, go to a nice...
