We came around 1:30pm or so for lunch. The staff weren't particularly friendly or interested in customers, only interacting with customers when absolutely necessary. Special shout out to Lauren who took our orders - after each item, she'd try and give the order total (when we clearly weren't done yet). Got a very strong impression she didn't want to be there. She even walked away midway through me asking for a drink (apparently she was getting another drink but this was very strange). Had issues with glassware not being clean either (water spots and lip marks).
After the initial "well do they even want us here?" we took a table and waited around 20 min for food to arrive. Overall the food was surprisingly good! I had a parmigiana (fresh and tasty, chicken was cooked well) and my dining companion had the calamari and salad ("not rubbery, not chewy, very good"). The advertised salad was more a garnish than anything but the portion of chips was decent. The pricing was steep ($24.50 for a pub parmy?!) and they also lost a star for the service. I won't return here but if you're ok with below average service, very good (albeit overpriced) pub food then this is the...
Read moreWould not recommend this venue for watching any sporting events. We booked a table here and we were sat at the back of the venue and could only just see over the people sitting in front of us. They only have speakers on the front half of the balcony so it was hard to hear what was happening from the back… especially over the top of the live band that they had playing at the same time. I felt really bad for the musicians because patrons were constantly having to get up from their seats to close the venue doors just so we could all hear the game. Not sure why the venue would have live music on at the same time as a sporting event they advertised that they were showing. We got food after the game had finished as it was one of the few venues in the area that was still open. The food wasn’t too bad although one of our dishes was forgotten. Luckily one of the wait staff realised after our mains were served, and she was apologetic. It seemed as though they were understaffed so big probs to that girl for working so hard and keeping the ship afloat. Unfortunately I won’t be...
Read moreDefinitely the worst food we have had in Mooloolaba in a week during our holiday. Food had absolutely no seasoning at all and seafood chowder was very ordinary - like someone had found whatever was available in the kitchen and just whacked it together with no care at all…not even any butter on the bread!
What was listed on the hard copy menu was different to what was on the QR code scanned menu. Kids cheeseburger was probably undercooked for a small child. Childs ice cream was supposed to come with the meal but we didn’t even bother to stick around for that…cut our losses!
Two person band and it’s way too loud for the environment.
Probably a good place to watch sport on the bigscreens with a schooner but not for a sit down meal.
Sign out the front says all day dining Sunday yet bar staff said you couldn’t order until 17:30…go figure.
Also two other reviews I note in the same day certainly didn’t rave about this place either…wish I had read them...
