A disappointing experience with the staff, and I was told by management that my pet was not welcome. This, even though the seating is dirty and the ovens constantly break down, and yet we continue to support the place out of loyalty.
It's unacceptable for management to instruct staff to confront customers mid-meal. If pets are no longer allowed, inform people before taking their money, not after. Long-time patrons deserve respect, especially those who stood by during Star's financial struggles.
Staff shortages are common, and itâs clear the F&B director and management contracts need a serious review. Treat your loyal customers better, we're the reason you're still in business.
PS Dirty smokers are forcing clients daily to inhale secondhand nicotine by smoking right next to the cafe, the whole establishment couldn't care less.

Read moreReally rude staff! I went in already on an important call that I couldn't disconnect, i politely signal to the staff that I'll take a minute and be right back, not expecting them to wait around for me. I finished the call, politely called for the staff and some guy who seems to be the manager/owner passed a rude remark at me saying that they obviously won't serve and wait around if I'm too busy on a phone call. Oh, and it didn't stop there. I continued with my takeaway order because I was short on time but as I was waiting, in my presence in the store, he was openly mocking me telling his staff "I told her, if she's on a phone call, we won't be waiting around forever, huh". I wouldn't recommend this cafe to anyone, and tbh, now that I think of it, their coffee is below average. Nothing to be...
Read moreSituated right outside The Darling this place has certainly made an effort to impress in many ways. Firstly they have a variety of brewing techniques available for your caffeination requirements. I stuck to my favourite piccolo latte. I was not disappointed. All the different methods are outlined in their menu, great for the uninitiated in alternative brewing techniques. Secondly the decor is warm and inviting. They have couches inside and tables in the sun outside (they could have more!). The espresso machine is front and center as you walk in. Last and most quirky. The piccolo cup was a warped ceramic black number that just made me smile.
I will come back and try this...
