Gallon — Restaurant in Sydney

Stumbled upon Gallon by chance when visiting the Porters next door and geez I’m glad I did.

Came up with the wifey for a pre show drink and nibbles before seeing MJ the Musical at the Lyric Theatre.

What a great spot, felt like it was full of locals enjoying a Sunday arvo beverage or two and a bite to eat.

I grabbed a beer (my only gripe was the only independent beer on tap was Coopers Pale Ale and I can’t stand Coopers, so had to settle for a Stone & Wood on tap. There was a good selection of crafties in cans but when I’m out I want a beer on tap) and a Aperol Sprtiz for the wife.

We orders two entrees to share and was nearly going to go a third but lucky we didn’t as the serving size was very generous and the food delicious. Wish we had a bit more time to kick back and soak up the atmosphere but the clock was ticking for showtime.

Awesome spot with an awesome mix of crowd in who mainly seemed to be from the neighbourhood. Glad we stumbled on this little gem. Definitely be back for another drink and snacks when next in this part of...

This place is a real hidden gem. Absolutely stunning decor with large outdoor seating area. Didn't try the food, but cocktails were amazing and packed a punch! Just thought the service was somewhat abrupt. The bartender started taking orders from our group, then turned away mid-conversation to talk to another customer at length (leaving our group waiting). Initially this was not an issue as a person in our group was still deciding anyway. However, once he finished his chat he turned back to us and started pressing for our orders by repeatedly saying "and?". Certainly left a bad impression on an otherwise...

Had an amazing experience at Gallon Pyrmont! We had a group booking for 25 people and everything from the food to the service was flawless. The cheese and mezze boards were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed afternoon gathering. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and made everything so easy from the moment we enquired to the day of the event. Everyone in our group had a great time and couldn’t stop raving about it.
