I believe they have the best vegan pho and banh mi chay in Sydney.
Some days the pho here is 10/10 other days it's 8/10 (still better than anywhere else).
My favourite restaurant, I've been a regular for over 6 years. I've tried all vegan spots in Cabramatta, Bankstown, a few in Newtown and the CBD.
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE:
Family-owned
Many of the meat substitutes are made in-house, so the ingredients are healthy
They don't just replace everything with mock meat, but will use a vegetable if it's better e.g., the pho's beef tendon (pho gan) is subbed for white radish.
BEST DISHES: Vegan Pho Vegan Bun Ca Thi La (get this dish takeaway). Vegan Com Tam Bi Suong Cha Vegan Banh Hoi Bo La Lot or Banh Hoi Heo Quay (get a few takeaway for a dinner party with friends) Vegan Banh Mi Thit Vegan Bun Rieu Vegetarian or vegan Mi Kho Xa Xiu (depends if egg noodle is chosen) Vegan Banh Cuon Cha Lua Vegan Bo Kho with Hieu Tieu Dai noodle (best...

I'm Vietnamese myself and used to eat non-vegan Viet food daily. I've eaten vegan Viet food in Vietnam, in the city (urgh, they're so bad!), at all other vegan Viet restaurants in Cabramatta/Canley Heights/Canley Vale/Bankstown... and this is seriously the best place I've experienced for vegan Viet food.
Unlike other similar restaurants, they make their own tofu/mushroom meat alternatives, so the food is gentle on your stomach (instead of those frozen vegan products - used in other restaurants - that bloat the stomach).
They have the best pho (pictured), bun rieu (pictured, dish with tomatoes), bun ca thi la, com tam, hu tieu dai bo kho (pictured, dish with carrots)... Other dishes are delish, too.
I am a loyal customer and highly...
Read moreLots of vegetarian vermicelli (bun), soup and rice (com) dishes to choose from in the menu. Most main dishes start at $17. Note that despite other reviewers stating that it’s a vegan place, we did see them have stock of “Best Foods Mayonnaise” (as per the photo), which makes it definitely a vegetarian restaurant (as per the restaurant name), not vegan. Nothing wrong with that, but just important for fellow vegans to be aware of. The menu didn’t indicate which dishes were vegan, and the English level of the counter staff wasn’t that great to be able to explain to us.
Additionally, we asked the lady at the counter if the pate in the takeaway bahn mi was vegan (there was a sign saying bahn mi chay) but she said she...
