Absolutely garbage service. I met my wife at this hotel and we were trying to celebrate our anniversary. After seeing a show at the ICC we went to the Champagne Bar at the Sofitel. After we got off the lift we waited at the entry of the bar for over 5 minutes without even a look from the staff. The bar was slightly busy but wasn't heaving. My wife did a little recon and we discovered a few tables free. We took it upon ourselves to take a seat and peruse the menu. After another wait we were greeted by an irate young server who told us we couldn't sit at the table as we hadn't been allocated the space. After I politely informed her of the situation and asked to speak to the host we were once again left to sit and wait, at a table full of dirty glassware, for the host to never arrive. As former guests of the hotel I can't believe the lack of service we received from the staff and to be honest as a frequent traveller I feel this reflects upon the entire Accor group and I'll be talking to my travel manager at work to inform them to never book from this group again....

I went with a friend to the champagne bar last night after a concert at ICC.

The ambience is fabulous and we were warmly greeted by the concierge.

We ordered two glasses of Perrier Jouet which came quickly - but which were flat. I drew this to the attention of staff who opened a new bottle and bought to us

We decided to have a snack and chose the oven roasted Brie served with a baguette. We were informed that this would take approximately 20 mins to be served. After approx 30 mins we asked where our food was only to be told that there had been a mix up and the order had not been placed. We were asked if we still wanted the food but as it was nearing 1130pm we declined.
