Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Chatkaaz, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! This gem of an Indian restaurant has truly captured the essence of authentic flavors and warm hospitality.
The menu offered an extensive range of delectable dishes, and we couldn't resist trying some classic favorites. The Chole Bhature was an absolute delight! The fluffy bhature paired perfectly with the rich and flavorful chole, creating a harmonious blend of spices that left us craving for more. It was a true feast for the taste buds!
The Idli Sambar was another highlight of our meal. The idlis were soft, spongy, and packed with the right amount of tanginess. The accompanying sambar was fragrant and had just the right balance of flavors. It was a comforting dish that brought back memories of enjoying South Indian cuisine.
We also had the pleasure of savoring the Prantha Chai, and it was simply divine! The flaky, perfectly cooked parathas were served alongside a steaming cup of aromatic chai. The combination was heavenly and made for a satisfying treat. It was the ideal snack to accompany our conversations and added a delightful touch to the overall experience.
The ambiance of Chatkaaz was welcoming and vibrant, reflecting the warmth and hospitality of Indian culture. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure our dining experience was memorable. The service was prompt, and they went above and beyond to cater to our needs.
I highly recommend Chatkaaz to all food enthusiasts and fans of Indian cuisine. The quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the exceptional service make this restaurant stand out. Whether you're craving traditional North Indian dishes like Chole Bhature or longing for a taste of South India with Idli Sambar, Chatkaaz is the place to go!
Overall, my visit to Chatkaaz was an unforgettable culinary journey. The combination of mouthwatering dishes, warm hospitality, and vibrant ambiance made for an exceptional dining experience. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit and exploring more of their...
Read moreDoes Chatkaaz need another review? When it comes to food, there is an emphasis on using masala powders in the food. Despite asking specifically for fresh green chillies in the food to make it spicy, all you get is more masala! The clean taste of fresh spices is not there. When it comes to asking for modifications to any dishes, forget it! On at least 2 occasions, I have asked for a paneer roll to be made with a fresh nan bread instead of a ready made Lebanese pitta, but each time they made it with a pitta bread. The paneer Manchurian was very tasty, but the portion size was small and they literally count the number of paneer pieces to be 6 pieces only - very stingy, I must say. The curries are ok eg paneer butter masala. The sizzler is good but it has less paneer and is 'bulked up' with rice and other fillers. The parathas are truly good and in particular, the onion and gobi is one of the best. I like the cheese chillie and onions dosa - it has to have fresh green chillies and I dont have to fight with the staff over it! The weekend specials are excellent, Makki ki roti and sarson ka saag, puri shaak, patta gathias and jalebi. (The best jalebi, in my opinion in Harris Park is the live jalebi at Jaipur restaurant although Chatkaaz jalebi is also great.Best drinks are mango lassi, dry fruit lassi, simple soft drinks. The Nimbu Soda has a sweet flavour and jaljeera masala. You lose the sharp flavour of lime and black salt and there is no black pepper. This could be a lot better. With regards to service, the order taking g process is super efficient, but how it comes out of the kitchen is haphazard. One person may have finished eating before another person's dish has arrived. You can't beat the atmosphere in Chatkaaz and it is always buzzing and gives a feel of what it is like to be in India. In Harris Park, there are 4 pure vegetarian restaurants. One of the oldest is Taj, Chatkaaz, Jaipur and La Jawab. All are worth a try. The Chatkaaz mithai (sweets...
