Chatkazz in Harris Park is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Indian street food in Sydney. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a vibrant atmosphere that mirrors the bustling streets of Mumbai. The menu is a delightful journey through India's diverse culinary landscape, offering over 200 dishes that cater to vegetarians and those following Jain diets, with options free from onion and garlic .

The Pav Bhaji is a standout—rich, buttery, and bursting with flavor, served with perfectly toasted bread rolls . The Pani Puri offers a refreshing burst of tangy and spicy flavors, transporting your taste buds straight to the streets of India . For those seeking variety, the Mumbai Roadside Special menu is a must-try, featuring favorites like Papdi Chaat and Paneer Tava Pulav .

Service is prompt and friendly, even during peak hours, ensuring a pleasant dining experience . The restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity makes it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Whether you're a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or a curious newcomer, Chatkazz offers a flavorful and memorable experience that's hard to beat.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in delicious, authentic Indian street food in a lively and welcoming setting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chatkaaz, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! This gem of an Indian restaurant has truly captured the essence of authentic flavors and warm hospitality.

The menu offered an extensive range of delectable dishes, and we couldn't resist trying some classic favorites. The Chole Bhature was an absolute delight! The fluffy bhature paired perfectly with the rich and flavorful chole, creating a harmonious blend of spices that left us craving for more. It was a true feast for the taste buds!

The Idli Sambar was another highlight of our meal. The idlis were soft, spongy, and packed with the right amount of tanginess. The accompanying sambar was fragrant and had just the right balance of flavors. It was a comforting dish that brought back memories of enjoying South Indian cuisine.

We also had the pleasure of savoring the Prantha Chai, and it was simply divine! The flaky, perfectly cooked parathas were served alongside a steaming cup of aromatic chai. The combination was heavenly and made for a satisfying treat. It was the ideal snack to accompany our conversations and added a delightful touch to the overall experience.

The ambiance of Chatkaaz was welcoming and vibrant, reflecting the warmth and hospitality of Indian culture. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure our dining experience was memorable. The service was prompt, and they went above and beyond to cater to our needs.

I highly recommend Chatkaaz to all food enthusiasts and fans of Indian cuisine. The quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the exceptional service make this restaurant stand out. Whether you're craving traditional North Indian dishes like Chole Bhature or longing for a taste of South India with Idli Sambar, Chatkaaz is the place to go!

Does Chatkaaz need another review? When it comes to food, there is an emphasis on using masala powders in the food. Despite asking specifically for fresh green chillies in the food to make it spicy, all you get is more masala! The clean taste of fresh spices is not there. When it comes to asking for modifications to any dishes, forget it! On at least 2 occasions, I have asked for a paneer roll to be made with a fresh nan bread instead of a ready made Lebanese pitta, but each time they made it with a pitta bread. The paneer Manchurian was very tasty, but the portion size was small and they literally count the number of paneer pieces to be 6 pieces only - very stingy, I must say. The curries are ok eg paneer butter masala. The sizzler is good but it has less paneer and is 'bulked up' with rice and other fillers. The parathas are truly good and in particular, the onion and gobi is one of the best. I like the cheese chillie and onions dosa - it has to have fresh green chillies and I dont have to fight with the staff over it! The weekend specials are excellent, Makki ki roti and sarson ka saag, puri shaak, patta gathias and jalebi. (The best jalebi, in my opinion in Harris Park is the live jalebi at Jaipur restaurant although Chatkaaz jalebi is also great.Best drinks are mango lassi, dry fruit lassi, simple soft drinks. The Nimbu Soda has a sweet flavour and jaljeera masala. You lose the sharp flavour of lime and black salt and there is no black pepper. This could be a lot better. With regards to service, the order taking g process is super efficient, but how it comes out of the kitchen is haphazard. One person may have finished eating before another person's dish has arrived. You can't beat the atmosphere in Chatkaaz and it is always buzzing and gives a feel of what it is like to be in India. In Harris Park, there are 4 pure vegetarian restaurants. One of the oldest is Taj, Chatkaaz, Jaipur and La Jawab. All are worth a try. The Chatkaaz mithai (sweets...

We visited Chatkazz Harris Park today for a special occasion with my husband, as we are regulars at Chatkazz Bellavista and always enjoyed the food there. Naturally, we expected a similar experience here, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. We started with the Manchow Soup. It was a bit too spicy for us, but the waitress was kind enough to guide us, and that was the only positive part of our meal. After that, we ordered filter coffee. The first cup came cold, so we asked for a fresh one, but even the second time it was still cold and tasted unpleasant. Hoping tea would be better, we ordered it next, but sadly it was also served cold. We also ordered malai soya chaap and Paneer Pakora, but despite waiting for over 30–35 minutes, our food never arrived. While we understand the restaurant was busy, customers come hungry and expect timely service and decent quality food. In the end, we cancelled our order and left after only having Manchow Soup and vada pav, still hungry and very disappointed. The staff were fair to charge us only for what we ate, but our time, energy, and special occasion were wasted. Chatkazz Harris Park needs urgent improvement in both food and service, unlike Bellavista which always delivers excellent experiences.

Let's dive in 😉 *The store will be packed during peak times, to experience an Indian ambience you can come during peak times. Dw you'll find a table in less than 20min, thanks efficient manual management by staff and preordering. *Once in the store, the flavours will hit you instantly if not yet, taking you to India itself. *Staffs are super fast and efficient, the chefs even more. You can expect the food to reach in less than 5min of ordering. Staffs all round if you need any help. *Pizzas and burgers available for non-indian people or white people. *Foods will give you a pure authentic Indian taste. Kudos to the team. You'll be completely satisfied, Chat is like a must have item at every table. *Chatkazz sweets is just down the corner if you need to grab sweet on the way back home. **Only drawback, the toilet sees a high volume of usage, it will be better if the team takes care of it periodically to see if it's fit for use. Few customers don't use it properly. Management should step in to keep it clean at all times. The store doesn't have enough parking onsite. And the street parking usually will be without free spots. Disabled personnel or pregnant ladies plan the visit before hand.
