Tikka Corner Harris Park — Restaurant in Sydney

I ordered lamb tikka and saw that it was double the price of some fantastic restaurants in Auburn, so I thought this should be good. How wrong I was! A staff member was joking around and taking selfies of a naan she'd made in the shape of a hand... Ok. Then she wipes her nose across her hand and starts making a love heart dough on the same bench with the same flour the other staff were making naan on. I told the girl that it was very unhygienic and the girl replied angrily that what she was playing with wasn't my naan and the beans next to it using the same flour were for other customers so no need to worry. I spoke to the manager and explained that if that's what staff do hygiene wise where customers can see them, it's frightening to think what they might do in the kitchen where they are not seen. I also explained the girl's aggression was very poor service. The manager didn't offer any refund or compensation but said it was unacceptable and he'd "handle it". I took the food home and the salad was old, and the tikka was so chewy, and they'd put margarine on the naan. Never again! Don't go there unless you want to get sick and pay for the privilege of the worst...

After a long evening walk we went to this place for dinner. It is a very small place with just two tables inside and a few tables outside.

Service :- Very very disappointed with the service. A lady over the counter brought us the food and I requested for a soft drink and immediately she responded saying self service for drinks with a bit of attitude. There is nothing wrong in this but 5mins after that a person next to our table called same lady with hand gestures and asked for two soft drinks and she served them happily. Now that's bad service for sure for me.

Price :- IMO for a place like this it is over priced on dishes given the quality, service and ambience.

Taste :- We ordered regular mashawi. Taste was on average side. Chicken tikka and lamb skewer were not bad. Lamb tikka was not cooked properly and very chewy. I had to spit out after chewing a little. Again for the price it's not worth at all. I can happily go to Jasmin in Auburn for better quality and taste price for similar food.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Tikka corner Harris Park tonight. I ordered the garlic naan, and when I took a bite, I found a cockroach in my food. I was disgusted and immediately stopped eating.

I called over the worker and showed him the cockroach. He apologized and offered to replace my meal, but I declined. I had lost all appetite.

I understand that accidents happen, but finding a cockroach in my food is unacceptable. It is a serious health hazard, and it shows that the restaurant has a pest problem.

I will not be returning to them again ever and I would not recommend it to anyone else.

In addition to the above, I would also like to add that the restaurant manager did not come over to apologize to me personally. Instead he said ill replace your plate nothing else i can do. Its not in my hand he said .This shows a lack of respect for customers and a disregard for food safety.

I hope that Tikka corner will take my feedback seriously and take steps to address these issues.
