It would have been nice to give a raving review about this place, as it was my first time booking a party with Timezone Parramatta, but unfortunately, I’d be lying. I totally get that as a business you want to profit from each customer but if you create a system of overbooking for parties and a party room is available an hour and half after the original booking time, that is a terrible system and only leaves customers, disgruntled after the experience.
On Saturday, 13th September, I (mother) had a party for my son booked at 3pm. During the first half hour to hour of game time, the games were not in operation, and our children were either asking staff for help and then being told games were out of order (later to be told it was due to Wi-Fi issues). This happened consistently throughout the entire time, especially with the yellow and red games, which are part of the party package ($30 per head). Please see x13 pictures of games not in operation attached. The lanyard card was also not working for 2x claw games included in the package, that a staff member had to be consistently asked to give each child access. The party room is also inaccessible until 4:30pm, so you are left to keep drinks, decorations, snacks, presents, and other items with you until it is ready, meaning you must keep an eye on everything. However, thankfully staff were kind to give us access to a storeroom to keep these.
A staff member is assigned as a ‘dedicated party host’, but unfortunately Timezone overworks their staff to the point that they are too busy attending to everyone else at the centre instead of your party. They are hard to consistently locate in the crowds, and this cuts into the children’s play time. Then, when we just finish singing happy birthday, the staff start popping old balloons from a previous party (from maybe days or weeks ago), making huge noises literally next to our function.
It would be wonderful if TEEG management could kindly contact us to arrange some form of an apology and compensation for not providing a service that is part of a consumer or customer contract with the organisation—when payment is made for a service (especially access to games that actually operate) and it cannot be delivered. This was booked under my partner's name, so if you look it up in the system, I am sure the staff will be able to advise you of the...

Read moreAnother unpleasant experience. My husband pleaded me to avoid the place but since my son had the birthday party last year, we chose the same place. I am quite surprised that Timezone has such a good location and good collection of games with a small party room, but what they don't know is customer service. Logically, they were all good, except we came back unhappy. This is what happened to us. We reached 15 minutes late, only to realise that the counter for play time has already passed as it was activated 15 minutes before(seriously why). Next, 2 of the kids came late to match their dance classes, only to realise the game time has already passed. and more ever, 2 kids didn't turn up. Almost every kid lost 15 minutes of playtime, I guess/wish, what would have timezone lost if they have activated the games when the kids arrived. Two kids got the card, only to know that they cannot play any game. Seriously, I feel sad about them. I paid extra for 2 kids, and I feel sad for myself. I requested them, can they adjust the money, if I pay more to add bumper cars into it. They said NO. They should mention earlier that if we arrive late we will lose time. They played all good by the rule book and so I have no complains to make but an unpleasant experience could have been a memorable event for the kids. The customer service don't understand that they are handling kids. If kids, don't like it or get annoyed, they will never come to Timezone again ever may be 60 years. so What they need to understand, is they have actually killed the business for next 60 years from two customers. No complains but yes, I think, they could have...
