Not being a local we relied on Google for assistance in finding dinner tonight. We should have stopped there when we read the average reviews. The place looks run down, but that usually does not worry me, I'm all about the food and service. The restaurant was not busy, and we were ordering four dishes takeaway. I asked the type of noodles in the dish, the young man said 'the yellow one's, so taking a gamble, I ordered the yellow noodle dish.
We asked the time frame and were told 20 minutes. Being patient customers we went for a walk to check out the happenings in main street. We arrived back to the restaurant a little more than twenty mins later. We checked in and were told another 5 minutes. So we waited outside. Finally after a total of over 40 minutes our food was ready.
Super excited with grumbling belly's, we headed back to our hotel. This is where things went downhill further. One person ordered pad see ew with just vegetables and tofu, but got a mashed up mess with a coating of egg. One friend had chicken skewers with fried rice, which she said was okay. The two of us who got 'the yellow ones' (noodles) were very disappointed. Flavour too strong, chicken was dry and the noodles looked like they were taken out of a 2 minute packed of noodles.
The group of us didn't rate this place and will not be back when we are next in Katoomba. I hope we...

The menu is quite extensive and service is quite quick initially. You're very quickly seated.
On this occasion, once the order was placed, the dishes were slow in arriving and came out cold. Perhaps the crockery wasn't heated before the meal was plates and served, and/or the air in the restaurant was cold.
Apart from some of the dishes of the meal arriving cold (some were hot including the rice and curries), the dishes had good flavour and texture with satisfaction upon eating. The spring rolls were crunchy and light, curry puffs had a decent level of curry flavour and fluffy pastry. The green curry had a good tang, with a delicate heat.
Dessert is pretty basic. Fruits and ice cream. For example, fried banana and ice cream, lychees and ice cream. There is free ice cream for kids under 12.
They do allow split bills. Drop on in. The value is quite good and the meals are...
Read moreThe worst restaurant i ever had in my whole life!!!! Before I place an order, i asked the staff will it take long as we need to watch a movie, she said no. Turned out we waited 20 mins for a hot water, then after waiting 30 mins, i asked the owner when will the food br ready, he said we tried our best, if you canât wait, I canât helpâŠif a really rude attitude without saying sorry!! After waiting 35 mins, my tom yum soup finally arrived which didnât taste correct, not enough flavours and even the color is not orange enough. After 45 mins, finally my sweet and sour chicken arrived, but it looks nothing like sweet and sour chicken, just a watery stir fry chicken with 3 bug chunk of tomatoes and few pieces of vegetables, i smell it, it smell nothing like sweet abd sour and just a bit smelly which I canât eat it. So I returned back to the kitchen, the âchefâ said that is Thai style which is definitely not the caseâŠoverall, food was disgusting and service was bad, just go if you want to wait for an hour without heating at 3 degrees.
P.S: Another table missed their movie as the waiting got food...
