!Can confirm family is never coming back here considering we were there 3 times last month and spent 200+ each time!
Manager in charge at 4pm. Black hair girl. where do i start. Have been a regular here at crintis as far back from 2018 come here almost every month, as everyone knows you tend to spend around more than 70+ at crintis or at least my family does.
The story starts: I am a minor. Completely taken advantage of, my dad puts his things on the table then proceeds to the bathroom and the lady who sits us asks if i want table water, i say yes. After my dad wasnt visible as the bathrooms are near GYG. Another lady (she reffered to herself as the one in charge).
Backstory: Mind you i have been working in hospo since a young age, so ive had first hand experience with BAD (had to edit so google doesnt take this masterpieve down) customer service towards me. This was terrible and the first time ever with a different roster at crintis, people i dont recongise.
Back to the story, the lady in charge comes up to me asking for water still or sparkling, and takes away the tap water on the table, then she asks me 1L or 2.5L i think it is getting sketchy. I say 1L because I am confused because I had the water already on MY TABLE. She then puts it in the system. So a bit skeptical i wait for my dad and tell him, we scan the menu for the water.
IT WAS 14! 14 for a litre is ridicuolus. I told her that it was completely decietful after my Dad asks for a refund. MIND YOU ITS STILL AND UNTOUCHED/UNOPENED. Lots of hassle and disagreements later. Thank goodness we didnt get charged for it as i said to my Dad that i dont feel comfortable eating here and letting them take our money!
Going to tell everyone about this— considering i study business studies this wasnt the brightest of ideas towards us. Could understand if it was sparkling water. But it was not.
SHE will probably USE that water on the next set of customers if anyone orders STILL in the first place.
Enough talking, the quality in the food has gone down overall thats why it gets 3 stars. Crintis is not in it’s peak anymore.
Edit: Dad wanted to add a comment saying that considering Crintis has had restaurants taken down the way we were talken back to was 100% not acceptable and so disrespectful and it is 🤮🤢 behaviour if i had a manager like that, it screams toxicitity and wasnt even in a nice...
Read moreI am so disappointed to even be writing this review. I love Crinitis and have been eating here (mostly Crinitis Parramatta) since 2008!
I booked a table for 4 online for my sister's birthday this past Saturday. I called a few days before my reservation to ensure that we would get the birthday song celebration for my sister, as a surprise. They said subject to availability, which is totally understandable.
We ordered our food, it came, we ate and still had 30 mins of our reservation left. I asked my husband to order a dessert and ask for them to do the birthday song. He went and paid the bill, including the dessert, and asked that the waiters bring it out as soon as they could.
(Keep in mind, my family and I have done countless birthday celebrations at Crinitis Parramatta and it's always gone perfectly.)
At this point it was almost 3pm and the restaurant inside and out was very empty. One of the waiters (nice guy, didn't get his name) brings us the dessert menu, even though we've already ordered. And then 2 minutes later, a different waiter (he was rude and it felt like he didn't care about anything) brings the dessert my husband had ordered and just puts it on the table and walks away (no candle or anything). We were very confused and I had to tell my sister that we were going to surprise her, but it was obviously ruined. The nice waiter came and apologised and offered us free dessert, but we didn't want free food, we just wanted the birthday celebration.
I still wouldn't say avoid this Crinitis - just be very clear about what you want and hopefully they will only assign one waiter to your table so there's no miscommunication between them.
One other small issue, I ordered the minestrone inverno and it was too salty, otherwise we all...
Read moreWell hungry on a Saturday night, I was looking for the best place to have good food, with much to choose from, and a nice atmosphere ideally
I walked through The Piazza, and Criniti's stood out, with their huge terrace (which was almost full and a good indicator of the success of this restaurant), in addition to their inside seating, and even as I noticed later their 2nd level
Nice decoration as well, upstairs you get Italian murals, downstairs some nice signs, and outside cool lightings
Efficient & friendly staff
And the last but not the last, the foodddd They have lots and lots of options, with a wide and deep offer
For the main menu, they have various starters, bruschetta, salads, pizza crust, woodfired pizza, calzone, pasta, burgers, ribs, steak, skewers, risotto, chicken & veal, grilled fish, seafood... For the drinks they have aperitivo, cocktails, mocktails, spirits, regular shots, dolce shots, shakes, juice, etc etc etc. For the desserts, there have classic Italian ones, fried desserts, dessert pizza, crepes & waffles, gelato...
On my side, to start with I went for fig bruschetta (woodfired italian bread with figs, bufala ricotta, poregranate & honey) Then spaghetti marinara (mussels, calamari, vongole, prawns & confit cherry tomatoes in Napoli sauce) With my meal to drink I had apple juice (I don't drink alcohol but if you do I was recommended their berry sangria) And as a dessert I had bomboloni stack (along with a hot chocolate to drink)
Generous servings, great food
Also I noticed the place is particularly popular with groups, family members but also friends especially. The 1 & 2 meter pizzas being great options And birthdays are celebrated as...
