I visited Delhi o Delhi with no expectations and left absolutely impressed! The food, service, and overall experience were truly exceptional. What stood out the most was how they customised each dish perfectly to match our spice preferences – something very few restaurants do well. I’ve been searching for authentic sarso da saag and makki di roti for a long time, and I finally found it here. The flavours were rich, earthy, and took me straight back to the winters in Punjab. If you’re Punjabi and craving real homestyle saag, this place is a must-visit. It won’t disappoint! Their chicken tikka masala was equally amazing – full of bold, balanced flavours that instantly reminded me of Delhi’s food scene. Honestly, Delhi o Delhi takes you to Delhi with their chicken tikka masala and Punjab with their sarso da saag – all in one delicious meal. To top it all off, the team gifted me a lovely tote bag as a goodie, which was such a thoughtful surprise! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic North Indian cuisine with a personalised touch. Can’t wait to return and try more from the menu!🙂‍↔️🙌🏻

Absolutely mind blowing Indian restaurant from someone who has lived in India for a while! FOOD: Ridiculously good gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Including gf battered items (not just salad and rice!), gf naans and gf (typically gluten-ful) curries. Really accommodating and aware of cross contamination considerations. Cannot fault. Reasonable pricing for an upmarket Indian restaurant serving up authentic, high quality and fresh food. STAFF: Super attentive staff. Small note that some do seem to struggle way more than others, when busy. We asked for some items over 6 times. INTERIOR: Classy, minimalist, modern vibe, with ample seating for larger 15+ people groups. ACCESSIBILITY: Wheelchair accessible, with space for larger wheelchairs and I've seen them move things around for those in walkers etc. They also have kids high chairs. Some street parking available, it's minutes from Newtown train station and nearby (city) buses. OVERALL: Highly recommend, would always and do keep coming back.

My husband and I ditched our favourite Thai restaurant over kachori cravings. DOD came top on our google search, and seeing Khasta Kachori on the menu, we were thrilled! It was our first visit here and we instantly fell in love with DOD! The subtle ambience, pleasing Indian music, and welcoming hosts like Javed certainly added to charm to this place. Food is delicious-flavours are spot on! The sweet tangy and spicy burst of flavours in the khasta kachori just took us back to the streets of India. For mains we had Chicken Pepper fry and garlic naan. Chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, while the gravy gave excellent flavours of pepper and curry leaves. Garlic naan was soft and as usual yum! This was our first time at DoD but certainly not the last time! Have to come back to try other delicacies on the menu and some raspberry chocolate desert that Javed suggested. One of the best Indian restaurants i've visited till now, a must visit!

Exceptional Dining Experience at Delhi 'O' Delhi

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Delhi 'O' Delhi, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we were greeted by Mr. Anoop, the service was exceptional. Anoop was not only helpful and informative but also had a cheerful demeanor that made us feel warm and welcome.

The efficiency of the service was impressive. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived in a timely manner without compromising its quality. Speaking of the food, let me start by raving about the starters we ordered - samosas and lamb chops.

The samosas were simply delightful. The crunchy pastry exterior provided the perfect contrast to the delicate and flavorful filling. The tamarind sauce served on the side complemented the dish beautifully, enhancing the overall taste.

As for the lamb chops, I can confidently say they were the best-marinaded chops I have ever tasted. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the meat was incredibly tender. It was evident that the lamb had been marinated for an extended period, allowing it to absorb all the wonderful flavors before being barbecued to perfection.

Moving on to the main course, we ordered the lamb korma and the creamy fish, accompanied by fragrant basmati rice and garlic naan. The lamb korma was a treat to the taste buds. The mildly spicy gravy was skillfully made and complemented the tender lamb pieces beautifully. Each bite was bursting with flavor, a true delight.

Now, let me tell you about the creamy fish. This dish was an absolute standout. The curry was delicate and creamy, and the fish was cooked to perfection. It added a unique and delightful twist to our table, leaving us craving for more.

Overall, our dining experience at Delhi 'O' Delhi was nothing short of excellent. The combination of exceptional service, delectable food, and the pleasant ambiance left a lasting impression on us. I cannot wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again. Delhi 'O' Delhi truly deserves all the praise...

We have been coming to DelhiODelhi for many years on regular basis. The food has always been impressive and faultless. We were amazed that consistently, each time, we could rate every dish 5/5 each time. I would always bring either my mother or some friends with us who were also impressed with your food.

Our last visit in the beginning of October, however was a quite different. We invited our friends from overseas to have some awesome experience with Indian food and a great evening, but unfortunately, we got very disappointed and a bit embarrassed.

We ordered 3 dishes and some sides, with lassi. One was duck curry, the other was lamb curry the third one was fish curry. All three were below average, speaking politely.

Both, the lamb and duck meat was very dry. The duck was actually so overcooked that we couldn’t figure out if it was overcooked beef or duck. On top of that the sauces (curries) were not impressive. The usual full flavours were not there. Quite bland and unexciting. The fish (barramundi) was swimming in a soup, very thin liquid and not really a curry that we are so accustomed to. It even looked like soup and didn’t look good. The Peshwari naan (something that I always order for myself) was very disappointing. I barely recognized it from previous times.

The only thing which was good was mango lassi, but of course it is very hard to screw this one up.

I am not sure if they have a new chef or the management changed, but something went seriously wrong that night. I also wonder if whatever changes they made in this restaurant are permanent or if this was a one big mishap on that night.

I emailed this positive criticism privately to the restaurant a week ago, hoping to avoid criticising them publicly. However, I didn't get any response, no apology, no explanation.

Hence I am making it public.

We feel that going back there is too risky to spoil our evening with...

Already visited a few times in 2024 and great experience very time. Sad to see the Millet menu stopped. Loved the healthy Millet menu. Mango menu now started.

Have visited multiple times. The place for business and social get togethers.

Recommended to friends for wedding catering and went twice for food tasting. Great food range for catering. Our friends booked their daughter's catering with them in Sep 2024.

We also booked multiple wedding events catering with them in Apr 2024.

Javed the owner tries his best to please the customers and kitchen and restaurant staff are always friendly.

WE visited in Dec with our family friends. Every dish was so tasty and enjoyed by our guests from Melbourne - pepper berry chicken, lamb chops, raj kachori, paneer tikka, goat masal, Kabila daal to name a few. Cocktails and Bira beer were great addition.

Delhi of Delhi maintained good CoVid Management plan and the food quality throughout pandemic. We had a few group parties and everyone enjoyed the food, courteous staff, drinks and the venue.

Excellent staff and great food. We enjoyed the entree beat root patties very healthy and tasty vegan option, chicken was so delicious, lamp chops were juicy and prawns very crispy. The entree were very fulfilling then we tried Tava Goat for mains along with chicken tikka masala and cauliflower, egg plant ... with variety of naan bread options. Everything was delicious and staff amazing service even when the restaurant was so busy... Good hygiene, sanitiser, bar code scanning, social distancing and HACCP certified restaurant.... Not many restaurants go that extra mile to ensure food safty and good hygiene for the customers. The management and staff are at leading edge in terms of food safety and we go a long way to dine there. Always a...
