📍 Delisia, Forest Lodge 👀 I’ve heard a lot of buzz about Delisia, and after trying it for myself, I can see why. It’s tucked away in Forest Lodge, a little bit in the middle of nowhere, but absolutely worth the visit. Even though it was packed when I got there, I could tell this place was a local favorite. 💥 The vibe? Bustling, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s one of those spots where you can tell the regulars know the staff by name, and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The space itself is modern with just the right amount of rustic charm – think wood finishes, plenty of natural light, and an open kitchen that lets you peek at the action. 💁🏼‍♀️ Despite being busy, the staff was on point – friendly, efficient and busy. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my sandwich, but it was clear they were working hard to keep things flowing smoothly, and that wait was worth every second. 🍸 Coke for me in a glass bottle o0o0o0o 🍽 Now let’s talk about the sandwich. I went for the Giovanni: salami, pecorino spread, honey, rocket, and truffle oil. To say I was obsessed is an understatement. That combo of salty, sweet, and savory had me hooked from the first bite. Perfectly portioned! The salami was perfectly crispy, the pecorino spread added a creamy richness, and the honey? that brought everything together. The rocket gave it that fresh kick, and the truffle oil? Just enough to elevate the whole thing without overpowering. Honestly, I kept thinking about it long after the last bite. 🍴 Next time, i’m in the area ill come back for another sandwich! ✨ All in all, Delisia is totally worth the wait. It’s busy for a reason – the food is phenomenal, the vibe is right, and it’s the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy a sandwich. I’ll be back soon!

Um where to even begin? Let’s start with the atmosphere. This quaint deli draws you in instantly with it’s aesthetically beautiful façade. It’s warm and inviting and you just know by the amount of people walking in and out, this place will be good. And it exceeded our expectations in every way. We were greeted with friendly faces and the owners eagerly assisted us in choosing which Italian inspired sandwiches we should try. Both Ray and Lena were so helpful in explaining the various combinations, and took the time to understand what flavours we enjoyed, ensuring our first experience at Delisia was memorable and delicious. We landed on the Bellini (omg, the most delicious marriage of salty and sweet!!!!), the Martina (nostalgia central, but 2.0) and the Reuben (unreal, the best you’ve ever had). All three sandwiches were faultless. The focaccia and panino were so fresh and pillowy soft (bonus if you’re sharing with toddlers, so easy to bite and chew!) And it’s so hard to say which was a favourite because each had a unique flavour profile but, what I will say is, these were the best sandwiches. Ever. Every morsel. Try the entire menu. Oh and the coffee was 👌🏽. A must try 🙌🏽

Cute place with tasty food! I have been meaning to try this place for a long time as they always have a crowd of people lining up on the weekend. Overall, we were quite happy with the food - though it wasn’t mind-blowing, it was very tasty & portions were very generous (which could kind of justify the hefty price tag). I’d recommend having them toasted as it adds a nice crunch to the bread & makes it more enjoyable to eat. We tried: - Lorenzo: amazing! My favourite. The pancetta, whipped ricotta & the pistachio pesto made such a nice combo - creamy, salty & just delicious! - Da Vinci: a classic for a reason - fresh & tasty! - Figaro: quite sweet from the fig & honey, but it had nice unique flavours! We tried it toasted & untoasted and would recommend the latter because toasting it removed lots of the flavours. - Galileo Gourmet: alright if you like beef & semi-dried tomato but it wasn’t my thing.

My sister suggested this place a few weeks ago, we decided to go on a Saturday for lunch. The place is cute and quite small, not much seating to ‘eat in’. Parking can be tricky as the main road it fronts has no parking along most of it. I’ve been twice now.. no issues with parking so far along the side street. Place was packed with people waiting everywhere.. was this a sign we didn’t know about? We ordered pretty quickly and staff were friendly. The window with the food is full of bowls of pesto and other freshly made pastes, paper thin sliced deli meats and extras along with baked goods to the side. We sat in the corner inside and waited and waited and waited.. just over an hour later our names were called! Thinking about it now, I simply cannot understand that this place, with a min of 5 people behind the counter, could take so long to make a sandwich. They are working feverishly, but I just don’t get it ?! Am I missing something? Anyway, the sandwiches are delicious and I’ve been back since, this last Sunday.. this time 35 min wait and that was after 2pm! Give it a go, if you are ok to...
