This place might be new, but the food is already outstanding!
First off, the Chicken Katsu Curry is a must-try. The crispy chicken katsu paired with the mildly spicy curry and warm rice is absolutely comforting—it made the rest of my day so much better. It was my first time trying it, but I ended up cleaning the plate! Make sure to dip the katsu in the curry or let it soak a little—trust me, it takes the flavor to the next level.
The Chicken Karaage was also very impressive. The pieces are large, thick, and juicy, and the chicken flavor really stands out compared to other places. The crispy coating has just the right amount of salt, and the mayo dipping sauce, topped with a hint of shichimi, cuts through the richness perfectly.
The Crispy Eggplant is one of their popular dishes, and it’s easy to see why. The soft, chewy eggplant wrapped in a crunchy coating offers a great texture, and the sticky, sweet apple miso adds a delicious twist that keeps the dish from feeling too heavy.
As for the Agedashi Tofu—it’s wonderfully crispy when it first arrives, but becomes even more flavorful as it soaks up the hot soy sauce. The chef recommended pouring the sauce generously over the tofu, and I’m glad I listened! The light, silky tofu balances the savory sauce beautifully. Even if you're not usually a tofu fan, I think you'll enjoy this dish.
The staff were also incredibly friendly, always greeting guests with a warm smile. The space isn’t huge, but it’s cozy with a cute, minimal design that makes it feel very welcoming.

Read moreFrom the moment the dishes arrived, I knew I was in for something special. The katsu curry was perfection — golden, crispy chicken cutlet laid over fluffy white rice and generously smothered in a rich, velvety curry sauce. The texture contrast between the crunchy coating and the tender meat inside was spot on. A sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions added a welcome freshness, and the pickles on the side gave a perfect zingy punch.
The agedashi tofu was another standout. Lightly fried with a delicate, crisp exterior and silky center, it soaked up the umami-packed broth beautifully. Topped with bonito flakes and scallions, each bite was warm, savory comfort.
The meal came with a crisp salad dressed just right and a classic miso soup that rounded everything off with subtle, earthy flavors.

This is my second visit to Doki Doki and both times have been great!
Delicious food, good sized portions and good price point.
For 2 people dining we ordered the following: entrees (which we shared) chicken karaage, agedashi tofu and crispy eggplant (stand out dish!), and for the mains seaweed salad and soba noodles salad.
Previously I’ve also had the pork cutlet katsu as a curry dish also delicious!
Keen to try their udon and sushi rolls next time.
