Tucked away in a quiet corner of Erskineville, Erko Pantry is a charming little cafe that pleasantly surprised me. From the moment I walked in, the ambience set the tone — bright, minimalistic, and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and a relaxed, cozy vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer.
Food-wise, it delivered more than expected. The menu, though not overly complicated, offered a thoughtful mix of brunch classics and fresh, seasonal twists. Everything we ordered was plated beautifully and tasted just as good. The ingredients felt fresh, the portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the coffee? Smooth and well-balanced — clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, adding to the overall laid-back feel of the place. Whether you're after a quiet solo coffee, a weekend brunch with friends, or a casual work spot, Erko Pantry hits the mark on both food and ambience. Definitely worth a visit if you're...

Unpretentious, tasty, fresh, not so massive you cannot eat it, not covered runny cheese or oil and it was entirely delicious. The chipotle sauce in the chicken burger was the perfect amount and the taste excellently complemented and not over powered the burger. You could really tell a lot of the ingredients were made in house it was a 10 out of 10.
Then there was the chips which were proper fries not chucky slabs of potato but just delicious perfectly cooked golden fries. Then there was with the house made herb salt seasoning, which again was just sprinkled over the chips so that it provided flavour and taste rather than over powering the chips. The chef told me he allows two days for the flavours to settle.
People will say it was just a burger and they are right - not expensive, not enormous, but it was done...
Read moreOh. my. goodness. We came here after work for a quick mid-week dinner (with relatively average expectations) and have left with our socks thoroughly knocked off! We’ve lived locally for years and have walked past the Erko Pantry many a time thinking it looked pretty average and not worth the bother… but recently we noticed that something had changed. Surprise - they’re under new management and the Erko Pantry is now ABSOLUTELY worth the bother. The mushroom arancini were the best I’ve ever had, and the steak frites and ceasar salad w/ chicken were bloody good. You can tell that the food is made with love - and locally, what more could you ask for? We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back for more (J told us to expect great things from their coffee and B&E roll so watch...
