Lovely people, lovely food, great prices and most importantly great coffee! This is an 'old school' cafe where the staff care about their customers and everyone who comes in is part of the local family. I regularly see Nick (the owner), Kahee, Dione, Mel and Vary looking after a whole bunch of local people who clearly have had a tough life (which is typical of many long time Redfern locals), showing great compassion and care which goes above and beyond the regular call for a cafe. As a tradie working nearby, I usually avoid buying coffee here before work because the service is slow, and I don't want to risk being late. I decided to give it another try during my smoko time around 9:30am. Unfortunately, today was particularly disappointing.
