I’d rather swallow a bird alive, than go have food here. Omg where do I even start!! Had dinner with my friends earlier today and the staff was super rude for the very minute we walked in. Lowkey said we can’t have the seat we wanted and were asked to sit on the table in front of the washroom despite most the tables being empty. Once we were and the menus were brought over, we were informed to order n leave as soon as possible although they were closing at 11:00 and we walking in around 9:30-ish, strange. Now, we order according to the quantity mentioned in the menu given to us but when the food arrived, we noticed it was literally half of what was mentioned. When politely pointed out the same, the server immediately told us that she gave us the old menu and proceeds to hand us the new menu. Where was the new menu in the first place? And why weren’t we given it earlier or why not anything about the quantity or the menu being old was mentioned when we were placing the order for the item? We raised our concerns then called in the manager and he was kind enough to compensate one of the two orders for that very item so we were okay with it but we had a portion of the same item for takeaway which he asked us to cancel if we weren’t happy with the price or the quantity. We let the matter go and try to just finish our food we had gotten and leave. When I go ahead to pay, the manager and the server both force me to show the debit card that I was paying with, to make sure I’m not paying with a eat club voucher. When questioned what’s wrong, they said, weren’t even allowed to pay using our Eat Club card after 10 when clearly on the app it said “pay before 11:59” for the offer to be redeemed. They didn’t allow me to pay until and unless I showed them the debit card I was paying with and that’s when I felt the most disrespected. It was clearly a invasion of my privacy. They stood there watching me like hawks, while I transferred funds between my bank accounts and held me on the counter to show them the card before I paid. I was so done with everything by then, I just ended up showing them my card, paying and leaving. Even if I was trying to pay for the food with a Eat Club card, it clearly is mentioned in the policy of EatClub that the restaurant gets payed the whole amount although it’s discounted for me. Amid such pressing period at uni, my friends and I were just there to have a good time and have dinner when all of it was ruined with arguments going back and forth. When my friend questioned the manger about the very awkward position I was put at, the manger was super adamant and quote /unquote said he’s been running the business for 15 years which basically makes him entitled to being rude and disrespectful. Besides all that the food wasn’t good either. No wonder there was a 50% off from EatClub lol. Horrible experience,...

The Feed Punchers, after driving past the restaurant on many occasions, finally decided to make an appearance at Spice Hub, Located on Cleveland street in Surry hills. 40% off on the Eatclub app!
-The Butter chicken was creamy with nice subtle tastes of cumin and chilli powder. The chicken was cooked well, soft and juicy
-The goat masala was an incredibly tender dish, it had strong tastes of clove, cardamom and cinnamon, but lacked in its level of spice.
-The Malai Kofta was one of the favourites, it consisted of extremely soft, potato/chickpea tasting vegetarian meatballs, which were served in a buttery-curry sauce.
-The mango chicken was also one of the favourite dishes on the table. It was the best mango chicken we’ve encountered. It had a strong mango sweetness, which was complimented by a perfect creaminess and subtle spice. The chicken was, yet again, tender and soft.
-The Chilli chicken was the most spicy dish on the table, but still managed to lack in spice. It had a strong chilli powder, but was missing the extra spice.
-The Lamb Sagwala featured slow cooked lamb, which shredded on impact within the mouth and perfectly encapsulated the green-garlic- curry sauce.
-The lamb vindaloo was disappointingly mild in spice, like its neighbouring dishes, but at least it also had some very tender lamb. The sauce had a strong vinegar taste.
-The Daal had a nice spicy, creamy, tomatoey broth. It had a little kick to it, which was perfect in combination with the;
-Mixed bread basket, which featured garlic naan, cheesy naan and plain naan. The bread was fresh and soft, but the cheese and garlic were weak and insignificant in proportion.
-The Beef masala featured a soft beef, which seemed to be slow cooked. It had strong hints of coriander seed and ginger.
Overall, it was a great display of the Indian cuisine, offering some very tasty dishes. Some additional heat in the dishes would have boosted the rating....

The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations. They made sure our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable without being intrusive.😉
The food was the highlight of the evening. We started with the samosas and tandoori 🍗,both of which were bursting with flavor 🤤and cooked to perfection. For the main course, the butter chicken was creamy and rich, and the biryani had just the right amount of spice🌶️.The naan bread was freshly baked and complemented the dishes beautifully. Each dish reflected the rich culinary traditions of India.👌🏽
The prices were reasonable for the high quality of the food and the generous portions. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
