Today was one of those last minute 'let's have lunch' moments. We opted for somewhere nearby and our friend brought us here. I was absolutely blown away by the friendliness of Fez, who did everything right. This is how a cafe/restaurant owner should be: involved and caring about her customers, taking the time to ask "What's your name". I watched her buzz around chatting with customers and being genuinely interested. "Feed the ego as well as the apetite". Perfection, in my opinion. The specials (there were 4 or 5 of them) all sounded amazing, so I decided to be 'surprised' and let Fez decide my fate. My dish was spectacularly tasty and the portions were generous. SERVICE: Fez was outstanding. She really took care of us. The other crew in front of house were not as chatty, but were efficient and professional. The service was speedy. We didn't have to wait long at all, and it wasn't too fast either, leaving us time to enjoy the company of friends without feeling rushed. I especially liked that we were asked for coffees just as we finished our meals. Great timing! FOOD: Exceptional. I dont' eat Middle Eastern food very often, and I was very impressed. Very tasty and plenty of it! When everything sounds and looks nice, I usually let them choose for me (surprise me). It's the best way to learn, as I would otherwise revert to something 'safe'. We all had the specials and they were delicious. ATMOSPHERE: This was very pleasant. It's not a warm or cold day, and inside the cafe was a very nice temperature. It was busy, but the acoustics are very good, so we could easily chat and hear everyone, without yelling. A nice and happy atmosphere. CLEANLINESS: Top marks. Very clean. I did not use the bathrooms, so I cannot comment on that. Our table was clean (not sticky) and all the cutlery and glasses were spotless. However, the menus were old and dirty though, which I didn't like. Always feels icky to handle a grubby and frayed and old menu, before handling your food... PRICE: Not cheap, but not expensive either. This place offers table service (taking orders as well as bringing the food), and considering the price you pay at a fast food joint of food court, this is only a few dollars more, and you get the full service experience, with excellently cooked meal. I would say this place is very good value. RECOMMENDATION: Yes, I would recommend Fez & Co. Say hi to Fez when you see her, or ask for her. Don't be shy, she certainly isn't!! I will be back when I am in the area. See you soon Fez! Richard

Came past breakfast, the cafe is very inviting and the stuff were very welcoming and friendly. The venue has great appearance and even though the weather was very chilly, the environment was very cosy. To begin with, we ordered a vanilla malt shake and a coffee, The milkshake arrived really quickly and was absolutely delicious. It was nice to have a cafe that offered malt for a change and the mint leaves are a great addition to the shake for that little hint of flavour. For breakfast, I greatly enjoyed a bacon roll with some extra hash browns that came on a really nice crispy piece of bread, and the presentation was pretty nice, All the dishes were plated really well. Some bits of feedback were that it did take well over half an hour for the food to arrive, and the scrambled eggs were a bit oily, which was a little bit disappointing after the wait. It was a busy morning, so it's understandable that the staff had their hands full and it took a little bit longer. Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast and I look forward to coming back again to give some of the other menu items to order as they had a very large diverse menu with a lot to try!

Greatly reminded me of the hipster cafes back in the alleyways of Beirut city. The atmosphere is not exactly modern but feels nicer. Both the outside and inside seatings have a unique vibe. The outside looks out to the lovely streets of Annandale and the inside looks out to what seems to be a reserve or park of some sorts, all very green and pretty. The service is great, everyone is friendly and seems to be very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is diverse, ethnically rich and just enough fusion to keep the touch of authenticity. The zucchini fritters were delicious. Kind of was baffled at one point and didn’t sense the logic in charging an extra $2-3 for scrambled eggs instead of poached but I let it go since the food was great. The baba ghanouj is probably one of the best I’ve had ever, anywhere and that is coming from a born & bred Lebanese. Would definitely come here again to try the other items we craved of the menu.

This was unfortunately the worst experience. We almost requested our order be cancelled. It took over 50 minutes for a bagel and wrap with haphazard garnishing. We asked about the order twice, both times assured they would check with the kitchen, both times no response. Standing in line at the counter to ask for a refund after 50 minutes of waiting, the waitress brushed past us to get to our table. Only to look around as if she hadn't noticed us a moment ago. We decided to just eat and leave as we already spent the morning waiting. The food wasn't even great, I can accept subpar service for good food or visa versa. This was just subpar on both fronts. I did raise this with staff afterward and they apologised with a free cupcake. It was thoughtful and appreciated but not worth the time.

Thanks, Suzanne, for the gift voucher earlier this year! We finally got to visit this fresh and popular cafe for brunch recently. On arrival, we were seated outdoors quickly by a member of the team who took our coffee/tea orders with cold water and offered menus and the recommendations. The owner, Suzanne, came and sat with us for a chat. We had our orders taken quickly, and freshly squeezed juice was placed on the table. We ordered a Fez Breakfast each, which was prompt served in a respectable time frame with more coffee. Delicous food generous portions are presented well; my husband raved about the dips, how fresh and tasty they all were. Next visit we want to try dinner servize, we'll done to Suzanne and her friendly and professional service team.

Ordered the Morning Burger, $15. The burger was nice but it would be better if rindless bacon was used as the bacon rind was incredibly stringy. The “Big Mac Sauce” was only just identifiable over the other ingredients. The Hasbrown on the burger was nice and crunchy, not oily at all. The egg, soft and runny. It would be nice to have the option to add additional burger toppings, with a price for them separate to “Sides”. Halloumi would be a great addition but it’s hard to justify $8 for a side of it, when many other places do Halloumi sides for $3-5. $8 is 53.4% of the Burgers $15 item price No side should ever exceed 35% of the main item price. Would I return if I was passing by? Yes Would I go out of my way to come here? Probably not.
