We are in Sydney from Auckland for a week, visiting our daughter. My wife googled "best cafe in Pitt Street" and Fossix came up. We ordered the eggs with salmon and the eggs with bacon. My wife ordered a vege juice and loved it, l had my usual mocha. It seems that consistently the Aussie mocha's have less chocolate than in NZ, not a bad thing as NZ mocha's can sometimes be too sweet. This had just a good hint of chocolate. The coffee was stronger than i'm used to, but it was so smooth l really enjoyed it. Perfect temperature! Our meals were perfect, and brought to us by Jeremy who looked like the owner. Charming and then gone so as not to be intrusive.. then back briefly to bring some water, Jeremy you are wonderful!! LOVED the piping hot Turkish bread with a generous portion of butter so we didn't run out. The only critique l would have (so as to be objective) l was surprised no scrambled egg option, just poached.. and if you had powdered turmeric latte not syrup my wife would love you forever. Thanks Fossix, you're a 9...
Read moreThis morning I was treated to the most phenomenal bacon and egg roll. Now, I've had a lot of bacon and egg rolls in my time but this one is by far the stand out. The egg was fried lightly and came with a self saucing yolk that melted through other ingredients, binding them together like a glue created by the gods themselves. They even lashed out and put rocket on there so you can basically write this bad boy off as a salad! Just when you think it couldn't get any better they go and serve it on a delicious and perfectly toasted bun which was smothered in seaseme seeds. To say I was impressed is an absolute understatement. This bacon and egg roll would even bring a tear to Gordon...

(Obsolete old review) My favourite spot for Friday breakfasts. Tasty avocado/lime/chilli on toast and an exceptional mushroom/garlic/thyme dish on their autumn menu. Baked goods at the front are always top-of-the-range tastebud fantasies. Best café in the CBD no lie - I'd buy an extra stomach and attach it to my insides if I could just to eat all of Liesel's brownie sandwiches, orange poppy cakes and chocy...
