Gelatissimo Balmain — Restaurant in Sydney

After a fun, casual dinner nearby, we made our way here for an equally fun and casual second dessert—because one’s never enough!

Just a short walk from the restaurant (and our conveniently easy parking on Darling Street), we wandered in on an autumn Friday night.

As usual, there was a steady pulse of groups coming through—families, couples, friends—all giving in to their dessert cravings.

I can’t recall what everyone else ordered, but I went straight for “Candy Wonderland” in a cup, topped with extra candy.

Most people sample a few flavours before deciding, but I already knew Candy Wonderland was the one—and it did not disappoint. It had that sweet, bubblegum-like flavour, a smooth texture, and just the right amount of cheeky candy on top.

It’s a fun and colourful spot for dessert, with plenty of gelato choices, plus take-home tubs and cakes that looked just as tempting.

Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area and craving...

This is the second time where the waiters have been really rude, I have not been back since the first instancedent but thought after 4 years it might have improved, I was mistaken. Upon arriving at the ice cream parlour they came and took the orders of my group we all asked to taste some of the flavours they haphazardly let us, the outhers put in there order then I said “I will pay for all of those” the waither then yelled “you had a taste you have to get one” I then said “sorry I have a stomach disorder I can only have like a spoon full” witch is true. She then rolled her eyes and said “liar” under her breath. I felt quite offended by this and am not going to go back anytime soon.
