Penrith has no shortage of restaurants but still we often seem bored for choice when it comes to date night in Penrith. Osso in Penrith is overpriced an underwhelming, The Red Cow doesn’t make for a very romantic dinner and you can only go to Rashays so many times.
When you’re looking for the perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner, you want to go somewhere that’s going to impress you and your special someone. After all, who wants to be at a dinner date where you’re just eating to eat? You want to be somewhere that brings out the best in both of you, and that’s exactly what you’ll get at the following restaurants.
Let me introduce you to Griddle, located at 20-22 Woodriff St, Penrith it is right in the hear of our CBD with plenty to do before and after date night.
Griddle boasts modern Australian cuisine. including amazing ribs, mouth watering steaks, scrumptious desserts & a great variety of kids meals to choose from. There really is something for everyone on this menu, the hardest part is choosing just 1 item from the delicious menu.
The menu boasts 18 different steaks to choose from, a range of pastas, pizzas & burgers and much more.
From our experience the kitchen staff is extremely talented, the steaks we ordered rivalled Osso at a fraction of the cost without any of the lines or stresses of getting a booking.
After dinner Duck Duck Goose or Elton Chong are just a stones throw away to continue your date night.
All in all we highly recommend Griddle to our friends, family...

I'll remember the first bite of that expertly recommended scotch fillet for some time to come. It still visits me in my dreams.
Exquisitely cooked precisely to my liking, it unleashed a fiesta of tantalising sensations in my mouth. It was the kind of sheer unadulterated delight that I imagine would fill the air at, say, an end-of-COVID birthday party for Liza Minnelli thrown by Elton John.
Paired with delectable seasonal vegetables and an icy cold pint of the crisp and refreshing Griddle Lager, this was a feast worthy of the richest kings of Europe.
But no meal is complete without the dessert, and the chocolate lava cake transported me into a realm of culinary pleasure of which I concede I am simply undeserving.
Above all else, the service will keep you coming back. I was fortunate to meet Paige and the team upon my visit, and what a joy it was. Friendly, hospitable, charming... name your superlative.
Bring the whole family to Griddle Penrith. You will not - nay, cannot...

Absolutely empty at 1230 which is a worry but we took a chance. 'Bacon Swiss' Burger the worst I've ever eaten in Penrith. Burnt, and judging by the rank aftertaste it was cooked on an unclean grill which is hard to believe as we were first table of the day. Charcoal. Disgusting.
Couldn't finish it and that's saying something.
Brothers pork belly came with no crackle. Server advised it was 'crispy skin', but it wasn't even close. Terribly low quality.
Let the server know and got a 'sorry' with nothing else. No offer of replacement or anything. Apathetic stares as we left. If you can't get a table of two right when the restaurant is empty... geez. It's glorified pub food for crying out loud.
This was a bottom five dining experience in my life, and I'm nearly 40.
I won't be back, and I actively encourage you to support one of the many other much nicer...
