I don't need to work today which is a weekday Wednesday on 8 January 2025. I tried to find a Korean / Japanese BBQ in Chatswood and found this restaurant looked quite nice so gave it a trail.
The weekday price was quite a good deal. $34.90 for adult and $24.90 for students aged between 9 to 12 years old. By joining as Itzsan Members which is free and easy to register without requesting excessive personal information, I have saved $5 each x 4 persons = a total saving of $20.
The choices of meats for lunch were reasonable, something like 6 kinds of beef or pork, plus chicken thigh, octopus and 2 kind of sausages. The meats quality were reflected on the prices but were quite ok for me. There were quite many choices of hot food too which were reasonably good, such as miso soup, udon, cold soba, Edamame, Kimchi, Prawn Gyoza, Takoyaki, chicken karaage and chicken nuggets etc. One surprise was that I didn't aware soft drinks were included before visiting.
But visiting this restaurant you must bear in mind that timing is very important. I reckoned I entered into this restaurant at around 11:28 am and their rules was that you have to place order by using the table machine by yourself within 60 minutes and your overall dining time is restricted to 90 minutes. I roughly started placing orders after 10 minutes and after a while, we were aware of that there was a countdown timer (small wordings) on the machine stating how many minutes remaining that you can still place order. After we were assigned the table for 60 minutes or perhaps a few minutes less (rounding down to 5 minutes maybe?), we found we were unable to place any more order but in the meantime another 30 minutes countdown started which showed how many more minutes that you can still sitting there. We were in a group of 4 and they assigned one BBQ stove for us. However, our table had 6 seats so I have a doubt how can one small round shape BBQ stove be good enough to feed 6 adults within 90 minutes.
Having said that, overall speaking the price for weekdays lunch is still acceptable but I am not sure if it is still good if coming on weekends or aiming for the Premium BBQ deal as they are much more expensive but will still subject to all these timing conditions.
P.S. One female waitress didn't greet me and didn't provide decent responses on my requests and was a bit rude. Overall I has a bit unpleasant about this visiting due to this waitress' attitude...
Read moreLast week, we went to this restaurant for a gathering with a group of 16 people. The average cost per person was $90 . It was the worst barbecue buffet I have ever experienced. The variety of food was limited, the barbecue grills were very small . Despite repeatedly asking the waiter for assistance, no one paid attention to us or offered a solution. The place had a strong unpleasant odor, almost no service, and empty plates on the table were left unattended.During our ordering process, the owner approached us multiple times, advising not to order too much as we would need to pay extra if we couldn't finish. While friendly reminders are acceptable, the owner's repeated warnings made us uncomfortable. We are all adults and not new to barbecue buffets. Additionally, we noticed that the Oxtongue we ordered was missing, and when inquired, the owner insisted we must finish everything before receiving the remaining items. There was a one-hour time limit for ordering, and imposing restrictions on a buffet seemed unreasonable for our group of 16.Four of our friends couldn't consume beef due to religious reasons and requested additional seafood and chicken, which never arrived despite assurances from the owner. The service was extremely poor, and the owner displayed a disrespectful attitude, rolling eyes at us on several occasions. Despite the owner recommending udon and tempura instead of meat, we couldn't comprehend why our legitimate orders during the allocated time weren't fulfilled. We will not be returning to this...

They have a few menu options, but I really recommend going for the premium. You get: • Premium Wagyu cuts that are super tender and melt in your mouth • Fresh salmon and tuna sashimi • So many side dishes • Dessert including mochi and ice cream
The service is fast, portions are generous, and everything came out super fresh.
They even have duck breast and unagi, which you don’t usually find at AYCE places!
Some of my fav side dishes: • Crispy agedashi tofu • Soft shell crab • Karaage chicken • Cold soft tofu (so jiggly and refreshing) • Fishcake soup • Crispy gyoza
For dessert, we tried all their mochi flavours (strawberry, green tea, black sesame) plus salted caramel and chocolate ice cream – so good!
Definitely come hungry. This place never disappoints!
