Absolutely flawless restaurant!!! The food is superb, and every single dish is delicious. I went away to the Blue Mountains for 3 nights and dined here the first night, and ended up eating here every single lunch and dinner for the entire trip. I tried over 9 dishes with my family, and every single one was amazing, my favourite was the crispy eggplant with Szechuan sauce, but the soft shell crab with Singaporean chilli sauce was a close second. The server Henry was fantastic as well, great service and made some excellent recommendations for our meals, and was able to come up with specific suggestions for the kinds of meals I was feeling on the day. He was able to cater for our vegetarian, and was able to suggest light meals when I felt a bit bloated and hearty dishes when I was particularly hungry. This is the only time I have ever gone out of my way to write a review for a restaurant, because this was by far and away the single best restaurant I have ever been to. Will definitely be back whenever I am in the Blue Mountains again (and might even make the trip specifically just...

The crispy noodles from the Chow Mein and the pork from the sweet and sour pork were both separated from their sauces to maintain crispiness. Dishes were tasty enough, however some were a little low on flavour.
At $46 for three dishes, a couple of fried dim sims and spring rolls, a bag of really nice prawn crackers, and a large fried rice was really good value. I would strongly recommend getting an additional large steamed or fried rice, as the one large isn't enough...
Read moreWhat’s happened to Canton Palace? We have been regulars for many years and the large space was always full buzzing with customers, the phone takeaway trade was constant, good food at reasonable prices. Now on a Friday night we notice only a few customers, the prices have significantly increased ($20-$40 for mains) and food quality decreased. I ordered my usual vegetarian laksa ($22), which was inedible due to a massive dump of hot chilli powder. The staff solution was to offer me hot water to dilute the chilli. Scant portions of fresh vegetables and tofu with tin mushrooms and baby corn. With high prices and reduced produce quality, Canton Palace are self-sabotaging what used to be a thriving popular restaurant. Clearly customers are voting...
